This is our favorite place for fine dining. My sweetie and I just celebrated her birthday here, and got to enjoy their Six Course Tasting paired with their 6 course wine tasting. We've taken advantage of this several times over the years, but our most recent visit was our best experience yet. Our server, was so polite and knowledgeable that he has given us our most memorable and enjoyable visit to date! Our server's name is Dodge!! He was so professional and educated about his products, and through his recommendations truly enhanced our stay. We can't thank him enough! The ambiance is spectacular with mild lighting, and a live pianist playing some of your favorite old tunes through the night. Thank you so much Dodge, and Cafe Ponte for giving us one of our best birthdays to date. We can't wait to come again, and will always be requesting Dodge as our designated aficionado when we return! The Chef's tasting menu is a delight in varied 6 course dishes. Relax and be served the most amazing flavors. Our server, Audra was a delight and they made our Anniversary celebration a memorable event. Kudos to you Chris Ponté!

I can only hope you take your love ones to this restaurant and enjoy how a dining experience is supposed to be. Please ask for Heather as server she take time out and make shore your satisfy. Trust me my wife hates going out with me to eat bc I’m getting old and fine some reason something wrong. But here nothing at all and feel you now hate going anywhere else because level Cafe Ponte meet is only going make you feel like returning.If on date, night out with family, or just hanging out at bar or dining at piano you be happy to know Cafe Ponte will be short to please. Good chefs. Good cooks. Good servers. Outstanding meal. I expected nothing from a place like this. I figured it would have been a soulless experience like the likes of Capitol Grill, Ruths Chris, or Mortons. I expected a non-intimate experience where they offer food thats pretty good but not an "experience". Like Marvel movies for example. You leave feeling good, but not profoundly moved at all. Nothing with substance. Instead, I left feeling invigorated. Breathed life into the Florida food scene. A place I would happily go back to strictly for the chefs specials. Its obviously a place that is well organized, a place where the artistic integrity of the chefs are not comprimised, a place where execution is pivotal and of the utmost importance. I feel as if there is expectations at this place. Expectations and pride from the executive chef down to the servers, the cooks, and to busboys and dishwasher. Everything was cohesive and everything made sense. Outstanding meal, and outstanding experience.Only complaint is the wine jelly on the Foie was absolutely and unacceptably inedible. Y'all need to that that back to the drawing board. I understand the idea or concept, adding acidity and sweetness to the fattiness of Foie on top of a frikin donut, but it needs to be tweeked. Being born and raised in New York, where food is very much the center of attention and each restaurant choice really a highly anticipated event, Cafe Ponte reminded me of all that. The French cuisine in a Manhattan style, white tablecloth, more formal than is typically found in the fantastic Tampa Bay food scene, but with the chatter of NYC dining, was well presented, and most importantly, every bite was scrumptiously delicious.
