I have used BRAH for 3 dogs- they make you feel like your dog is the BEST dog! The staff has a heart for pets and it shows, from the vets, assistants, receptionists and boarding staff! Highly recommend them!

We could not be happier with our first visit to Burleigh Road Animal Hospital. Our sweet KARA is a cautious canine and she walked into the clinic as if she was walking into her own home( a first for her). The entire staff was FANTASTIC and made us feel at ease, which is important for all of us at the vet. Her tail was high and she was excited to meet everyone... We are switching the rest of our 4 legged family members over to this clinic and I am sure that they will all be happy with our decision. I am actually looking forward to our next visit!!!!! We just got a new puppy, and on a neighbors recommendation we went to Burleigh Road Animal Hospital. We can't say enough nice things about them. In just one month we have seen a vet, groomer and trainer. All have gone above and beyond. Brittany is just an incredible trainer. Her love of animals, she is also a tech there, shows above all. Very knowledgeable in animal obedience and her willing to do in house training was just great, working with us in our environment with our dog. This is an edit/additional review on 1-24-17. Used BRAH for grooming my 11 month old cairn terrier, Max. I was a little apprehensive because I didn't really know what to expect. The groomer, Deja, was fantastic and the results were great! Deja was very knowledgeable, listened to my concerns and explained very well her plan and process. The results exceeded my expectations and I have already made an appointment for the next visit! Thanks!! ___________________________________________ The following review was from 11-10-16 The staff at Burleigh Road Animal Hospital is very friendly and caring. After my 1st puppy exam I signed up for their "Puppy Orientation" classes. The trainer, Brittany, was outstanding. She taught us how to train our puppies and the initial socialization for the puppies was great. My little guy, Max, responds to the commands and just loves to say "hello" to other dogs and people on our daily walks through Wauwatosa. On 11-7-16, I took Max in to be neutered, had 2 baby teeth extracted, and a microchip inserted. The staff and DVM, Dr. Berland, again were fantastic and 3 days later Max is back like nothing happened. I would recommend Burleigh Road Animal Hospital. In summary, take your pets here, and if you have a puppy, sign up for the Puppy Orientation classes! (when I was a kid, back in the early sixties, our family began using BRAH for our dogs Chris, Jessie and Gusto and I am happy the fantastic care has withstood the test of time) More...

Our companion animals have received veterinary care from BRAH since the 1970's. Over the years this has included 3 dogs and 4 cats. Decades ago BRAH care saved our very young little ginger kitten with a serious respiratory infection who was near being euthanized because she would not eat. Dr. Christie persevered in finding the right antibiotic. Dr. Braun, then semi-retired, made the simple but lifesaving suggestion of offering her milk---which she eagerly lapped up. Honey lived another 16 years. In the1990's, Dr. Laurie McCabe gave us the best vet care available throughout the eight years we had our beloved Bichon, named Andy, who suffered from textbook severe inflammatory bowel disease. She helped me make the difficult decision all we who love animals eventually have to make when our furry friends' suffering outweighs their quality of life. Most recently, Dr. Lisa Schultz has helped us with our now 16 year old Westie, Cuddles, who has several challenging chronic conditions. She has always been steady, informed and proactive. On a recent occasion she took the initiative to intervene by advising me when an emergency care vet was recommending an unnecessary and risky procedure. As a result I believe we have been able to have him several years longer than we would have otherwise. As leader of her veterinary care team, and I emphasize "team," Dr. McCabe has encouraged and insisted on best practices care, a result of continued education and coordinated care from her staff. Thank you so much for taking care of us while our Dad took our Mom on a Valentine's Weekend getaway. We had a really good time, except for maybe Ernie who can be a little neurotic. Evi loved her 'snow-walks'. Mom and Dad loved seeing the picture of Evi and our Valentine's Day cards (AND OUR TREATS!!! I love treats!). We LOVE Dr Utech!! She is so gentle, kind and understanding with our dogs. She is a great holistic vet and is well versed in alternative and traditional options. I initially went to her because one of my dogs had injured his back and she was one of the few vets that is certified to do acupuncture. Lets face it...our pets are our children.  You have to feed them, take care of them, and sometimes even clothe them. :) BRAH totally understands that and treats your pets like their own! Ever since I got my first cat, and now on to my first dog, I have been taking my pets here.  So that is almost 8 years now.  The staff is very nice, caring, and will answer any question...even if you think it's dumb...and I am sure I have called in with some dumb questions at one point!  BRAH also boards both cats and dogs, and the cost isn't outrageous.  Make sure if you are thinking of boarding during holidays you plan appropriately and call ahead of time.  Also, recently they started a rewards program where you can collect points to redeem at a later time.  I can honestly say when anyone needs a vet, I recommend them to Burleigh Road Animal Hospital. I have found everyone at Burliegh Road Animal Hospital to be very caring and friendly--from the Vets, office staff, boarders and groomers. My cockerpoo "Buddy" is very happy to see all his friends there when he goes for health related visits or for vacation boarding or grooming.
