We called a few AC repair companies and were told "someone will call you back soon" once our AC just stopped working. Waited an hour for a return call and decided to call Bruce's Air Conditioning. So glad we did! Our technician came out less than 2 hours from my original call and 30 mins earlier than we were expecting him. Franklin was our tech and he is AWESOME! Very professional, knowledgeable, personable, and courteous. He fixed our AC in less than 1 hour and we were back to a chilly home in no time! We have used Bruce’s for years, after a recommendation from my Father in Law, who has also been a long time customer. We have always been happy customers, until this summer. Our AC stopped working in the middle of the night, so we called Bruce’s Air Conditioning first thing in the morning. Someone was able to come out midday and take a look at things. The technician spent some time inside and outside looking at things. After about an hour, he told us that we needed extensive repairs on our unit. This came as a huge shock to us, because our house and unit aren’t even 5 years old. The technician told us that because the cost of the repairs was so high, he recommended that we purchase a brand new unit. We were completely taken aback, as purchasing a brand new unit was not something we were anticipating. I continually asked the technician if he could come back in a few days, so we could think about things. He wouldn’t answer me, and instead called his supervisor to see what payment options we had. Once the supervisor was on the phone, we started feeling very pressured into making a decision immediately. The supervisor went over payment options with us, one of which included using a relative’s information to open a line of credit and pay for a new unit. This is where the red flags started popping up for us. The supervisor even went so far as to ask us what unit we had been thinking about, even though we had literally just found out that we needed a new one. The supervisor and technician were incredibly pushy, and kept trying to pressure us to make a decision in that moment. We had to be very firm and tell them we needed time and weren’t going to be making any decisions right then. We called out someone else for a second opinion the next day. This is when we were told that our unit had frozen over, and just needed to thaw. Otherwise, there was nothing wrong with it. I completely understand that sometimes people are wrong or mistakes are made, but my husband and I are clueless when it comes to AC systems, and we put our trust in Bruce’s. To have a technician and his supervisor be so pushy and insistent that we needed a new unit when nothing was actually wrong seems incredibly unprofessional and comes off like some sort of scam. I’m glad we listened to our instincts when we felt like something was wrong. The purpose of me writing this review is so that other people will think twice and get a second opinion before giving this company a ton of money. I would hate for someone to purchase a new AC unit unnecessarily, and be scammed by the company, like we almost were. More...

Wait for it, Ok so I had another A/C company come out and fix my thermostat and maybe A/C, they told me that I need to pay $1,300 and I needed an entire A/C unit. Â So I didn't feel comfortable with them so I asked them to leave. I looked on Nextdoor to see who people were recommendating and Bruce's A/C was listed several times. I asked them to come out and do the $1,300 repairs that I was told I need to do before I got a new A/C unit. When Franklin came out, he probably spent an hour in our attic, he came out and told me that he wasn't going to do the $1,300 of work as it would be wasted and that I needed a new unit. I was absolutely fine with that. When I bought my house it was something that was mentioned to me, it was an OLD unit and it was time. Â The whole thing started because we have a smart thermostat and turned the A/C off when we went on vacation. We turned it back on a day before we got back and it was still not cooled down as much as we would like when we got home. We knew it was on its last leg.So we scheduled them to come out and they were very professional in every aspect of their multiple times at my house. Initial meeting, install, and follow up. I'm very pleased with them and I signed up for the 2 times a year service without anyone trying to pitch it to me. Did a terrible job installing new a/c unit in 2017. Didn't properly seal or properly set up water drainage. Air leaked out - water backed up and had to replace compressor in 2019- $1800 labor damage. 2 years later, compressor goes out again because they never tested for acid - freon pressure. Had to replace compressor 3rd time, still under warranty, still costs $2000 for labor and new freon. Do Not Use - Irresponsible - Unaccountable - Waste of Money Lots Of Money More...

I have used many AC companies but hands down this is the best. I don’t hand out 5 star reviews unless they are well deserved. .. so please trust that they deserve it. Brandon and Gavin took such great care of us. I had 3 units serviced and repaired at my house and sent them also to my rental house for maintenance and repair of two more units. They were easy to schedule... shows up on time.and worked very fast. They gave me a window of 10-2 and show d up at 9:59.... The guys from Bruce’s are simply awesome. We requested service on our A/C unit, and unfortunately, while replacing some parts, they accidentally mis-wired the unit and fried the compressor. They worked tirelessly to replace the unit and get us back up and running, all on their dime to correct the mistake.
