What do you love most about your job?
My primary reason for entering the security field over 40 years ago was (and still is) the satisfaction I get in providing a needed service. We suggest common sense systems that meet their actual needs rather than allow their current fears to take over. We offer genuine value and the most reliable UL listed equipment.
I also enjoy learning and teaching. This business changes almost daily. One must constantly learn new technology to stay current. teaching prospective clients about our products and services helps them to trust us, feeling comfortable enough to ask questions even after the initial visit.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have had many different positions in this industry. As an installer, technician, and then as an engineer designing complex systems to protect critical infrastructure. I have, at various times, been an owner of an electronic security business. The reason I became an owner this time was mainly due to circumstances. Having been the Director of Engineering for a mid to large sized security integration firm, I found myself without a job through no fault of my own. They went out of business. I had the idea for i-ACS which is really cutting edge technology, found an investor and called a good friend who is also an engineer, but in networks rather than physical security. It was a good match, and we eventually launched i-ACS. We had requests for standard systems and decided we would do both. We developed a great client base of standard systems and continue to gain i-ACS clients as well.

We don't claim to be the cheapest, but we do provide the very best value . We design and install with the intent that the system won't require any service unless due to vandalism or lightning or the like.
