Pam is a very knowledgeable person in her fieldShe was very engaging and generous with sharing her knowledge and experiences. My son went to her for ADHD issues for several sessions. He was always willingly to go. Pam engaged him and made him feel safe and comfortable. I received positive feedback from his teacher that his focusing issues had improved. I would highly recommend Pam. More...

I was in a car accident in 2004 and suffered a severe brain injury and was hospitalized for a week. I went on to make a full recovery, or so I thought. Even though I was able to complete a master's degree and work, I was always tired, had a hard time focusing and developed major depression after my brain injury. I just finished my 10th session with Pam and I feel like myself again. I have more energy, focus and motivation and my mood has improved dramatically. My family has noticed the positive changes in me as well. The only thing I have changed is the neurofeedback. I can't recommend Brain Training of New England enough. This therapy has given me my life back, and the best part is that I'm feeling better without medications or unwanted side effect. More...

As a journalist, I was fascinated with the experience with brain training. I went in with an open mind after reading the NYT book on Neurofeedback "Symphony in the Brain", and was also aware of the work done with the brains of professional football players suffering from concussions and TBI. Pam explained how it all works as I sat in the treatment chair and she wired me up like medusa, and I will note she has a real gift for explication of how all the wires she places on your head are working toward healing. She showed me my brain waves in real time on a TV screen in front of me, pointed to areas that could use a little jump start, and when I asked when the treatment would start, she said: I already did it. As I understood the process, the computer compares my brain waves in various parts of the brain to the data from thousands of other brains, and then gooses the brain waves in the areas of the brain where the waves are a little sluggish. Unlike with medications, the newly goosed brain waves seems to like staying at the new higher level. The results were so remarkable, and again, Pam so intuitive and yet geeky in a good scientific way, that I went back a dozen times, as the new mental clarity and peace was remarkable. I have sent friends with a wide range of symptoms to Pam, and most report the first thing to go away is their general anxiety, followed by an amelioration of their particular symptoms. More...

We spent an afternoon with Pam receiving brain training , and also learning more about Neurofeedback . It was the best few hours I’ve spent in a long time. Not only is Pam extensively knowledgeable about NFB, but she’s a wonderful teacher. It’s easy to see that she was a professor for many years , she can put complicated subject matter in easy to understand terms. Pam’s deep passion for helping others quickly shines through , and it’s easy to feel comfortable and cared for in her presence . I highly recommend Pam for anyone who desires to receive Neurofeedback or to learn more about Neurofeedback. More...

Neurofeedback naturally allows the brain to heal itself and achieve optimum functioning. After about 25 sessions I noticed improved quality of sleep and my anxiety, that had haunted me for years, was gone and could not be found. It's an honor to bring this service to my home community of Kittery/Portsmouth. Think of it as taking your brain to the gym. :-) More...

Testimonial:

As long as I can remember I have been a sleepwalker and talker. In the past 10 years I developed a sleep texting issue but thankfully I only text my boyfriend. In my dreams I'm always protecting people so I am actively moving, kicking, punching and protecting. Most of my life I'd wake up exhausted and some day sore from an intense sleep workout. The more stressed I am the worse my sleep walking was (and I've always put a ton of stress on myself about everything).

I've tried as many solutions as possible from yoga, medicine, chiropractic care and meditating. These all did help me but none helped me have a sound sleep (well the medicine did but I am not a pill taker so I rarely took them). I began seeing Pam and doing Neurofeedback a few months ago and just completed session 5 out of 10. The night of my sessions I sleep like a rock. I wake up before my alarm. I sleep how people should sleep. Almost every time I go I get another solid night's sleep. This is invaluable for me and I know for my health. I couldn't be more thankful to Pam and Neurofeedback.

I cannot stress enough how comfortable you will feel in the care and company Pam provides. I look forward to mapping and continued training sessions. The process is intriguing, intense, and involving. You get to see your brain working in real time, and get to learn what every piece of data means in terms of how you tick as an individual. All-in-all, it was an amazing experience and a new glimmer of hope for someone who struggles. More...

I have only received about five nuerofeedback sessions so far and the results that I have received for me are priceless. I now have better word retrieval, better concentration, better analytical skills among other positive results. Also I now have more self confidence. So if you are on the fence about receiving nuerofeedback therapy from the Brain Training of new england, please just give it a chance. It is a very relaxing environment. The therapy is helping me to make better connections through pathways within my brain and I'm thinking in ways before that I never could about a month ago. I highly recommend this business. I’m a bacterial spinal meningitis survivor, and had been suffering from some sequelae of that infection. I was commuting to a stressful job where I was not appreciated, and the anxiety of that work situation was making the neurological “echoes” of the meningitis much worse. I went to Pam with these issues and after a few sessions the echoes were significantly reduced, and with regular sessions I don’t suffer from any echoes whatsoever.I strongly recommend seeing Pam at Brain Training of New England to anyone suffering from anxiety, depression, or neurological issues. Neurofeedback eradicated my anxiety, reduced headaches, improved sleep and created a state of optimum "theory of mind". All the Buddhist concepts I'd studied over decades finally became precepts I could LIVE.
