We've driven past Bow's for the past pandemic year, promising ourselves a visit when things got "safer". Sooo sorry we delayed! The staff all mask and take safety seriously, so no concern there! They are stunningly friendly and great guides to the the unique corners of Belizian cuisine. You'll recognize features of Caribbean and Central American recipes, all with a twist! (Don't miss the fish Panadas w/ onion relish and OMG.. conch fritters, out of season and freshly imported from the homeland!) Classic favorites like chicken, stewed and curried, were succulent and perfect! We're eager to explore the fish dishes (king fish) next! To top, the lovely presentation was more like fine dining!Bow's is a treat! Don't miss them! More...

Authentic Belizean food. We ordered the curry chicken, meat pies, salbutes and conch soup and it was all delicious. The restaurant is spacious, comfortable, and the interior design brings out feelings of nostalgia.

Tonight we tried authentic Belize food and it was delicious. The meat pies are a standout. The pie crust melts in your mouth. My husband tried the Stewed Chicken dinner which included rice and beans, potato salad and plantains. I had the oxtail with the same sides and both meals were flavorful and seasoned to perfection. The plantains were a particular standout for me. They are better than a sweet potato, and close to being a dessert. The wait staff offer a broad knowledge of Belize and offered us a clear understanding how each of the dishes we ordered was prepared. His manner was polite and friendly. This restaurant understands customer service and makes you feel welcome and comfortable. We will dine there again. More...

The food here was delicious and reminded us of authentic Belizean food as we just went to Belize 2 months ago. Had oxtail and stew chicken and both were moist and cake with delicious rice and beans and plantains. Will be back again anytime we want a taste of Belize again! More...

Stopped by to try Belize food. Never had it before and it was absolutely delicious For appetizers we had fried empanadas stuffed with black beans. It was the best I have ever had. Then I had the oxtail. Omg this was the most tender juicy roasted meat. It tasted like a tender beef stew. So delicious. I also tried the sour sap juice for my drink. Great tasting juice. For dessert I had the coconut tart. Really good. Then we ordered tamales to go. These tamales were huge. Not ur normal Mexican tamales. One tamale was the size of my plate stuff with tender juicy chicken wrapped & steamed in banana leaves. We ate them all. Definitely coming back to try their other signature dishes. More...

We never had Belize food before and we enjoy everything we ordered. The Rice and Bean that comes with the Stewed Chicken stands out, as it's cooked with Coconut and Spices. Comfort food, feels like we're eating at a talented chef friend's house. We had fun learning some many new dishes from Belize, a variation of some other popular Latin cuisine. Will come back and try their other dishes as they are basically within walking distance from our house. More...

It's been rough in Houston with nowhere to find Belizean stewed chicken, the panades and the rice /beans. But omg I am soooo happy to have this place, and man, they know how to make the stew sauce! When I eat there I feel like another trip to Belize isn't so far away after all. More...

My entire experience from the moment we walked in until we left was amazing. We were greeted by the owner, who explained the mission of their restaurant and told us about the various pieces of art and historical pieces displayed. We tried a couple of the appetizers, the stew chicken, the oxtails, and the bread pudding. Every single thing we tried was fresh and delicious. Prices are reasonable and everything is neat and clean. I highly recommend giving this place a try! I plan to be back soon More...

From an actual Belizean to you: TRY THIS RESTAURANT. I’m so glad Houston finally has a Belizean restaurant. I tried a little of everything on the menu. The food was overall delicious! It tasted like home, very authentic. The salbutes, pork tamales, and pig tail were my favorites. The stew chicken was ok but could have used more racado (seasoning) and the chicken could have been more tender but take that with a grain of salt because I’m only used to the way my mom prepared it growing up. The owner was very gracious and greeted us when walked on and talked to us about the restaurant. I will definitely be back and hope this restaurant stays around! More...
