The Bob Gail team is exactly who you want planning your wedding. They are so experienced and so capable, you definitely want them on your team as you navigate the world of vendors and details and timelines. They are SO on top of every last detail and are so prepared that they take all the anxiety and worrying out of the process, so you can truly relax, let go and just enjoy the experience on your wedding day. In addition to being professional and efficient, they are also just a joy to be around and to work with. Bob and his team went above and beyond to help me bring my "winter wonderland" theme company holiday party to life. We had beautiful, wintery scenes throughout our building, unique glowing cocktail and dining tables and awesome yard decorations on our patios. The company holiday party was a huge success and beautiful success due to their decor. We couldn't be happier with Bob Gail Special Events. We rented several large art deco props for our holiday party, and they were a hit. From the quality and detail of their props, to the professionalism of the entire staff, it was a great experience. I contacted three different LA vendors for an event and none of them were able to meet our visual and guest ambiance requests, timeframe, or budget. Luckily, Bob Levine and his team were able to put something together that exceeded expectations. Additionally, he took the time to physically scope out the venue and communicated updates directly to myself and my team because we could not be at the venue during the planning phase. He served as our eyes and ears. The guests of the event had a great time and sent praise almost immediately after the event. When looking for props, Bob Gail Special Events is the place to go for corporate as well as social events. Working with the team was so easy, they transformed a dingy, dark room into a beautiful winter wonderland. The event I really liked was an event for sick children, using Bob Gail's props for the children brought BIG Smiles to the children faces and tears to my eyes. Each time we have referred them to our customers they have been efficient and true industry professionals.They are always on time and to date they have never disappointed any of our customers. They are the best when it comes to transforming any area into a beautiful room or space.I will continue to  recommend Bob Gail to anyone that is doing a theme party and have a need for props.They can also recommend entertainment options for your event as well.I am always proud when Bob Gail is used to do an event that I have recommend their services. I booked Higher Ground by Bob Gail for my wedding reception, and I could not say enough positive things about the band as well as Brian and Giovanna. The band is not only talented and charismatic, but it also does a great job reading the crowd. Scott, the band leader, is a great emcee. A few highlights/anecdotes if you'll indulge me:

-Even during the dinner portion of the evening, couples were dancing when they were supposed to be eating - one told us it was the first time they had danced in 30 years.
-A few weeks before the wedding I needed a steel drummer for the cocktail hour and Brian was able to secure one who was amazing and for a reasonable cost.
-Higher Ground is booked through a company that also does wedding planning - because of this, they are very skilled with the run of show, dealing with brides and sensitive matters, and overall running a great wedding.

I wish I could see them live again, so I will be referring them to everyone I know. Thank you Brian, Scott, Giovanna and the rest of the band for a fabulous evening!

I have been using Bob Gail special events for as long as I can remember. A corporate party, a casino night, holiday parties, you name it they have always come through with the best planning ever. There were times I had the ideas and simply needed the supplies and they were great enough to give me even more insight and recommendations. There were other events that i needed the whole shebang and what amazingness they provided. We used Bob Gail Events (their band Jump Start) as well as their DJ for my 300+ person wedding in San Diego, and they was absolutely AMAZING! We had many wedding guests come up to us after to tell us how great the band was and how that was the best band they had ever seen. They were professional, great to work with, and kept the party going on all night. They have a wide variety of music and genres that they can play, and were able to read the crowd perfectly for music selection, and had such good energy the entire time. We were so sad to see them leave at midnight! We primarily worked with Brian in coordinating many of the details prior to the wedding, and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. I would 1000% recommend this band (and DJ Scott Levine) for a special event, and we hope to have the opportunity to work with them again at some future event!!! More...

Bob Gail Special Events band, Jump Start was absolutely one of the best parts of our wedding! When we were deciding between bands to use, we loved the range of talent and vocals that Jump Start showcased. We had a unique song we wanted arranged for our first dance which they were able to compose and played perfectly on the day. The band leader, Brian was so thoughtful, helpful, and easily accessible when we needed to reach him. We also had a pretty specific "Do Not" and "Please Play" song list which they not only followed but wowed us with every song they played. We booked Higher Ground for our daughter's wedding. Brian was so easy to work with, helpful, patient with all our questions etc. Scott and his musicians were awesome. Everyone had the most awesome time at our event. The dance floor was full until the last song. I would definitely recommend them hands down. We had an event with a Hollywood theme and the props from Bob Gail made the event! The decor they provided elevated the feel of the event and helped convey the theme to all of the attendees. It really felt like you were a celebrity walking the red carpet into a true Hollywood party! Allyson Levine Joseph was our main wedding planner for our wedding.  Allyson is one of the best in the business.  Her parents (Bob & Gail) started the company, which also has a fantastic music component of the business.  We actually used one of their bands, Higher Ground, as our band wedding and they were fantastic.  Allyson has strong relationships with the best wedding vendors in the area.  Most importantly, she was able to get a sense for our vision and translate them into the best options in terms of style and colors as well as which vendors would be a good match.  Allyson goes above and beyond and she was always a phone call or email away.  Before we hired her, I had an initial call with her and she followed up with me to offer advice as we were looking for and evaluating wedding venues.  That willingness to provide her advice made her stand out to us vs. other wedding planners.  Allyson and her team are Type A (like us) and we knew we could count on them to get things done in a timely manner.  They kept us on our toes and engaged with us to make every decision along the way to ensure we were hitting our fast-moving timeline.  With our full-time jobs it would have been impossible for us to plan our wedding ourselves along with our demanding schedules so it was a godsend to rely on Allyson and her team to take care of everything that we didn't have to worry about.  They did everything from meeting with vendors to stuffing and sending out our invitations to purchasing and putting together items for our welcome bags.  The Bob Gail team on the day of the wedding was extremely impressive.  They were in communication with each other at every minute of the day, were available at any point that we needed them, rallied our friends and family together at the scheduled times and made sure that the wedding was seamlessly executed and managed.  We were really pleased with Allyson and the Bob Gail team and most importantly our wedding was absolute perfection thanks to them! Despite our request being super last-minute, Bob Gail was able to accommodate our every request; they even were able to custom build and print beautiful signage for us. We booked "Jump Start" for our wedding and we can not recommend enough! We worked with Brian Pincus, who was an absolutely delight from day one. We LOVED working with him. He's so professional, easy and just an all around great guy. As for the band, amazing! Truly one of the highlights from our wedding. Our guests all RAVED about the the band. The singers and musicians were top notch and the songs they played had our guests dancing all night. Truly, the dance floor was packed the entire night. We were married in Santa Barbara, but most guests were from NY/NJ (where my husband and I grew up) and they played so many great Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi songs that had our guests going wild. They of course were also able to play all the classic romantic songs like "At Last" and " Best Thing." I've had three guests already ask for the band's info so they can share with other friends for upcoming weddings. If that isn't the greatest confirmation of an incredible band I dont know what is! We used the band Jump Start through Bob Gail Entertainment for our wedding in August 2015 and had a fantastic experience. Brian Pincus was our point person from the beginning of the process and our band leader . From beginning to end, he was extremely helpful, responsive, and always seemed to be on the same page as we were regarding the flow and feel we wanted. We looked at a couple of other bands and chose Jump Start for a few reasons: -We had seen Jump Start at our friends' wedding ~3-4 years prior and remembered how great they were, even though it had been several years -Huge song list - much more extensive than some of the other bands we looked at -Brian immediately came off as trustworthy, accommodating, and easy to work with In addition to the wedding reception, we also used 3 band members for our ceremony music, and Brian also worked with us on very short notice to arrange for one of the band members to play at our cocktail hour. The reception was amazing. All of the band members are fantastic entertainers, professionals, and it is clear they can read a crowd. We met ~4-6 weeks before the wedding and talked about the flow we wanted (dancing in between courses, etc) which was very important to us. Brian suggested all of the same things we were thinking and after that meeting, we felt completely at ease. We had ~220 guests, and everyone was on the dance floor the entire time - both our friends (20s and 30s) and our parents' friends (50s and 60s). We requested to minimize the number of slower songs so it was all very upbeat and high energy. My husband was supposed to speak later in the night, but we were loving the band so much that we ended up skipping his speech so we didn't have to stop the music! We had the best time, no complaints, and could not recommend Jump Start more. More...

2015 was the 40th anniversary of my company and we decided to throw a gala for 500 peeps. So being that this was going to be much larger than our normal yearly holiday parties we hired Bob Gail Events to help us out. I had the pleasure of working with Allyson Levine & Katie Pincus. After brainstorming with the girls, myself, The Big Kahuna & another top dog with came up with a very cool, elegant vibe along with a retro travel experience to 1975 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The event looked gorgeous and they were all very professional throughout the entire 10 month planning experience. My personal biggest concerns were having the event not look like your typical hotel ballroom which included hiding the massive ornate chandelier in their main ballroom, enough purple throughout (our company color) and a hip dance floor area amongst  other things not needed to be mentioned here. The event space looked AWESOME and ran smoothly. I'd love to plan something else with these gals! More...

I worked with Katie Pincus and the Bob Gail team for my wedding, and they were amazing.  From the first time we met and explained the vision for our wedding, I felt that they got it - and they didn't disappoint throughout the planning process.  Katie introduced us to some amazing vendors, and was also very open to some that I found on my own - and what came together was the day of my dreams that perfectly executed my vision.  In the last couple of weeks and on my wedding day, Katie and her team fully took over, and I was truly able to relax and enjoy the day with my family and friends.  They quietly handled the inevitable issues that arose - and only consulted me on a few necessary items.  I've heard from many brides that they didn't eat and don't truly remember the day, but that wasn't the case for us.  Thanks to Katie and her team for making our wedding day a dream that we were actually able to fully enjoy and remember. I can not say enough about Katie Pincus and the Bob Gail staff. When I was searching for a wedding planner, I didn't realize just how important she would be because it's something that is behind the scenes. Now that I am married, I can honestly say that Katie made our wedding and was absolutely worth every penny, if not more.

Not only was she and her team insanely organized but she was patient, thoughtful, had great ideas, gave us many options, was great with my parents, knew her shit and is just all around an awesome person.

I would absolutely work with Bob Gail for the next event i plan.

I booked Jump Start through Bob Gail as my band at my wedding. Every phone call and conversation I've had with my guests recapping the evening has included a rave review about our band. Their song choices perfectly fit the energy of the room and all age groups were able to dance and sing along. They were able to cover such a wide variety of song choices and there seemed to be a singer in the band for every type of genre (even country). There is something about the energy a band brings versus a DJ that just really gets a crowd going and eager to dance.Brian was so wonderful to work with. He was patient, engaged and invested in the night. It made a huge difference having him there keeping our timeline on track and changing things as needed based on the mood of the room. Additionally, he acted like a therapist and a band leader, helping me personally navigate through the chaos of the day.  The whole process of working with Bob Gail was seamless. They sent my husband and I a long list of songs to choose from before our wedding and even learned a couple of songs that we requested that were not part of their set list.  Jump Start was one of the more expensive ticket items in our wedding, but worth every penny! Everyone was on the dance floor the whole night, and when the lights came on at the end of the night, everyone was shouting, "One more song! Well I am not sure if I am reviewing the right business but the guy singing gave me his card that said Bob Gail events so here it goes. I attended local San Diego Google event and he played and sang during the event. He also had a sidekick that played harmonica. They were really amazing. The singer has a really great voice. Since the majority of my friends and family live in CA , it only made sense that I would want to celebrate my birthday in my home city. However, because I don't currently live on the east coast, it was logistically tough for me to coordinate such a large scale birthday party. I also haven't partied in the city for a while, so I didn't know where the hot spots were anymore. Bob Gail Special Events Los Angeles was recommended to me by a friend, and I am very glad that I used their service. Josh was extremely professional, helpful, and honest about the pros and cons of each venue for the specific requests of my party. Hi highly recommend using Bob Gail Special Events Los Angeles. I contacted them at approx 8am the morning of the day I wanted to have my birthday. I received a prompt response from josh and he was extremely helpful. Asked what kind of venue I was looking for a provided me with different venues and price lists. It was painless and extremely convenient working with Staff. He was AMAZING in setting everything up I had everything confirmed within an hour of working with him. Me and my guest had a great time at monarch rooftop very classy but not stuck up with a beautiful view of the Empire State Building it was so close you felt like it was in arms reach. To top it all off he was able to arrange for a free bottle and no maximum amount of people that could come. Bob Gail Events created my daughter's magnificent wedding at the Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica two weekends ago. Our wedding planner, Allyson Levine, was a gift to us! My experience with Bob Gail was so absolutely fantastic that it was one of the saddest parts about closing the book on our wedding. I walked in and met Allyson and Brian over a year ago after countless meetings with other planners. I knew within the first 5 minutes of meeting them why people say "save the best for last". They got it! Every last detail of what we wanted. Matt and I didn't just want some beautiful linens and pretty flowers on some tables. We came in asking for replicas of "Candy Land", a lot of glam, and ultimately we wanted the party of the year. Our wedding was Oct 18th, 2013 and when I tell you that they nailed it on the head, that statement doesn't even do it justice. I worked with Allyson the most, who truly became like a sister and a forever friend throughout this process. She was there no matter what and worked out every last detail with her heart in all of it. My favorite part of working with them was that you got a chance to work with everyone. Katie, Kay, Linley, Katherine (who is the best event designer on planet earth), and every other employee at Bob Gail stepped up at one point or another and made everything go right. Bob Gail Special Events is amazing!! This review is for Jump Start the band and for Brian Pincus who helped us make our dream wedding possible. I had seen Jump Start play at my cousins wedding 8 years ago and remember saying to myself..this is the band I want for my wedding! Now all this time had passed and yet my wish was still able to come true. Brian made sure we had the singers we wanted and helped us figure out how many people we wanted in the band and what we could afford. ( We ended up getting a 7 piece band with 2 singers and then Brian came as the 8th member!) He even worked with us on price which helped us a lot. Even though we went above our budget in the end I can't tell you how much I feel like this band was worth it. Brian was patient and kind and talked to many members in my family to assure them that everything would be taken care of and turn out great. They even learned two songs for us not on their play list and did them each perfectly!! Brian ended up coming to the wedding as our band leader and mc and made the night up beat, fun, and so memorable. It was nice to feel like the person at the head of the night really knew what we wanted and took the time to know us as a couple. Since the wedding, our guests cannot stop raving about the band and how much fun they made the night. Our wedding was on a Sunday and went til midnight ( I was so worried people would leave early ) but instead the dance floor was packed until the last song and guest were screaming for one more!! My best friend (who loves pop and rap music) said she never wants to go to a party with a dj again..she loved the band. I highly recommend this band and this company ( at least for music) and you won't regret using them. Make sure to ask for Brian Pincus!! More...

I cannot thank Allyson Levine and Bob Gail Rentals enough for the beautiful wedding they created for us. I work in the industry so I'm familiar with rental companies and how quickly it can add up for a few couches and chairs. However, after meeting with Allyson I knew that Bob Gail would be able to give us the design concept we wanted with the budget we wanted. Allyson's eye for design was incredible! From the linens to the furniture her touches really made our wedding spectacular. Plus she was super flexible when things started adding up and she would always send me updated budgets and revised quotes whenever I asked. She would always have a couple different priced options that I could choose from and was never pushy on the upsale, if I said I couldn't afford something then she would try and find a way to create the same look for less. And her team was wonderful with the set up and tear down. All in all Bob Gail really made our wedding what it was, and what is was was impressive from all the compliments we received at the reception. I would absolutely use Bob Gail for any future party planning needs! More...

My experience with Bob Gail was so absolutely fantastic that it was one of the saddest parts about closing the book on our wedding. I walked in and met Allyson and Brian over a year ago after countless meetings with other planners. I knew within the first 5 minutes of meeting them why people say "save the best for last". They got it! Every last detail of what we wanted. Matt and I didn't just want some beautiful linens and pretty flowers on some tables. We came in asking for replicas of "Candy Land", a lot of glam, and ultimately we wanted the party of the year. Our wedding was Oct 18th, 2013 and when I tell you that they nailed it on the head, that statement doesn't even do it justice. I worked with Allyson the most, who truly became like a sister and a forever friend throughout this process. She was there no matter what and worked out every last detail with her heart in all of it. My favorite part of working with them was that you got a chance to work with everyone. Katie, Kay, Linley, Katherine (who is the best event designer on planet earth), and every other employee at Bob Gail stepped up at one point or another and made everything go right. They worked with us through and through and gave us the chance to enjoy a planning process that can ultimately be very stressful. We used Bob Gail for three things: the band, the flowers, and the lighting. We got the most compliments from our guests on three things: the band, the flowers, and the photos. While we had a great photographer, I think the lighting made all the difference for our indoor photos, as our venue was very dark and moody. Every indoor photo has beautiful light and ambience. Months later, we are still receiving compliments on the amazing band and a friend recently said she is having the hardest time picking her wedding band because she keeps comparing them to OUR wedding band. I referred her to BG, of course. Brian and Katie are warm, friendly, and an absolute pleasure to work with. My mom fell in love with them about 5 minutes into first meeting them. She said to me later, "You just want to do whatever they suggest because you trust them and know it will be perfect." Kathryn, the florist, NAILED my floral dreams, despite my highly inarticulate description of what I wanted, as I know very little about flowers. During the stressful time of planning my wedding I actually looked forward to meeting with Brian and Katie at BG and left feeling excited. On wedding day, I didn't even have to think about my BG vendors because I felt so confident everything would be executed perfectly, which it was! More...
