I felt like we got our money’s worth. We used a groupon and took a teenager and children (aged 11 years old) on the haunted museum tour. Bloody Mary’s son was our tour guide. He was super nice and very informative. We toured a house that included a seance room. It was pretty cool. Afterwards we went to their gift shop and purchased a few items. They had quiet a few inexpensive options. There was also a cool build your own voodoo doll section. It was $25. I would definitely be open to doing similar tours from the same company. We were pleased with our purchase. More...

We did the 8pm ghost tour with Gina. Had a great time and learned a lot about the haunted history of NOLA. The tour of the museum and upstairs was pretty creepy too. Definitely worth it to us.

Bloody Mary's Voodoo van tour was so awesome! We met at her haunted museum to depart on the tour. She took us to St. Louis 1 & 2, drove through the Treme and French Quarter and along the route she gave us insightful history of New Orleans and Marie Laveau. We stopped at Armstrong Park to visit Congo Square where she gave us more information and we chose a stick to use in making our Voodoo dolls. She is so fantastic and full of information! This is my second venture with Bloody Mary and most definitely not my last. More...

We had an amazing time on this tour. Gina (I believe her name was) was our guide and she was amazing. We were the only two on the tour who couldn't reschedule so fortunately for us, it felt a little more personal and relaxed, but still fun. We also moved pretty fast which was kind of nice. I'm convinced our guide is immortal, and based on how knowledgeable she is (and how much she really knew about so many of those buried in the cemeteries we toured), I wouldn't be surprised to find out she's been alive for hundreds of years. We love the voodoo dolls we made, and if you can get a reading, do it. One of the best parts of our trip for sure!! More...

Gina led my group of five on the Tour of the Dead. She was very knowledgeable, entertaining and has a great sense of humor. All of this made the cold Saturday night enjoyable. Gina covered many topics from history, ghost stories and the difference between Voodoo and Hoodoo. I also took several interesting photographs of unexplained balls of light hovering around the group...I totally credit Gina! More...

Mary was so gracious with her time and her knowledge. She has a love of the city that is completely infectious, and the beauty with which she honors the dead was lovely to behold. I feel very blessed to have met her, and more to have been on a graveyard tour with her. If you come to New Orleans, make visiting her museum and a graveyard tour a priority. More...

If you visit New Orleans, you definitely want Blood Mary as your tour guide. She is not only extremely informative but funny and charming. She also knows a lot of stuff other tour guides don't. I feel really sorry for people who take tours with other guides. They have no idea what they're missing! More...

Bloody Mary's tour was informative, fun, intriguing and spooky. No, I personally did not see any ghosts, but did have a 'strange' encounter at the cemetery. Definitely worth going. Plus, there are many many ghost tours in NOLA, but I recommend getting one from an actual voodoo Queen! My only issue was some of the attendees. Two where drunk and one called herself a Native American Priestess and was nit picking everything....with nothing to hold her argument. That is not a big deal, but there should be a clause about arriving drunk to the tour. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time! More...

Dear Mary,I was in NOLA in February and had an incredibly night tour with you. I still remember how impressed I was with your voodoo altar at your home, too. Anyway, I am coming to New Orleans in early October, and am going to stay until February next year, working on my thesis. The city just stayed with me, I guess. I was wondering if there is any possibility to contact you when I'm there - well, I guess, to learn more, not out of curiosity, but because I felt there was some sort of a connection that needed to be explored, something I wasn't aware of before. *note: went on a tour in 2013"Our first and favorite tour guide!!!! We signed up for the ghost tour which started at the countries oldest bar in nola, Lafitte's. Gina, sweetest local from NOLA who loves pink, was our tour guide for the day. She knew where to get the best poboys, prime's cup, sazerac, etc. We tried a lot poboys and booze, nothing beats the one she recommended. BLOODY MARY's TOUR: They are small specialty company (3-4 people voodoo/hoodoo priestess) who are voodoo mambo's.TOUR: I felt a lil awkward at first, there were 3-4 couples who were in their 40-60s. She said most of the young crowds usually sign up for the booze tour. To be honest age didn't matter. The walking tour all over bourbon street was fun and intimate, she even told us where the cleanest toilets were. We got to stop by some of the bars she recommended to get their famous drinks. She even gave us a sniff of the love potion she got from the pharmacy museum. The tour is very intimate and informative. Unlike the other popular tour I went on, this was an experience I knew I wouldn't get from reading a wikipedia.Gina: We loved her! She was super friendly and laid back. Even days after the tour she came by to say hi to us when we ran into her twice. More...

As the editor for Destination Diaries, I rely heavily upon experts in various fields for information that I may share with our readers. Whenever I am anywhere near the beautiful city of New Orleans, Bloody Mary is undoubtedly my "go to" reference for anything and everything embodied within the spiritual and supernatural realms. Whether it be providing information on her unique, one of a kind tours, rituals, readings, or even her own experiences and stories, she is always a wealth of knowledge ready to share her expertise with the world. Whenever I am asked for ideas of "what to do" or "who to see" in New Orleans, without hesitation, I always recommend the services of Bloody Mary, which I consider to be one of the most authentic experiences that New Orleans has to offer! Bloody Mary's Tours is the best tour/event service in town! I am New Orleans native and I bring all of my out-of-town friends to Bloody Mary's Tours when they visit. Mary's knowledge of local history and folklore is second to none and she and her staff have gone well out of their way to design tours that are intriguing, but accurate and true to history. There are no cheesy scare tactics here, the history of Louisiana is better than any fiction! I have been on the Tour of the Undead, the Cities of the Dead Tour, the Back of Town semi-private van tour and have participated in doll-making classes and private voodoo rituals. All of these experiences were incredible and taught me so much. Even as a local I learn something new every time I go on a tour with Bloody Mary and/or her guides. This is the quintessential locals' perspective of New Orleans history, folk history and magical traditions and should not be missed! More...

We took a trip to New Orleans two weeks ago and we took a few of Bloody Marys tours. She gave us more than we could have ever asked for. This was not an easy task for her because my wife has MS but Mary made this happen for us. She took use to some grave yards that blew our minds and she did alot more than that. She did a healing ritual for me and my wife. She also took us to a few antique shops and we got to see some of the oldest history New Orleans has to offer. Its hard to find anybody who can add a personal touch to things like she did. Anybody who takes a trip down to New Orleans should check her out. Yall are lucky to have someone like her down there. She gave us the best vacation we have ever had. We feel like we left a good friend behind. When i come back im calling her before i leave the house to let her know im coming. Thanks for the fun times More...
