A couple weeks ago I picked up another sweet ride from Chris and Theresa. After 22 yrs of knowing, riding and purchasing 95% of my cycling gear from them, they are still the best! Chris refit me for a beautiful BMC Roadmachine which found more power and comfort! I have chronic spine issues and autoimmune disorders so this was very significant, allowing me to ride longer and stronger! Had my first ever bike fit at Bike Doctor with Chris and I was blown away at the knowledge and level of expertise in their fitting services. It was so good, that I came back a few months later for my second bike fit. Being a Deaf customer, Chris was great to work with. He was very patient and attentive to all my needs. I usually don't leave reviews, but Chris and Theresa and their entire team provides such a great service that I felt I had to review. Went for a Fit and maybe a new bike. Even though they were short staffed and slammed, every customer including me got prompt service. My experience wasn't good shopping around DC for a bike. After checking out about a half dozen stores, I decided I need to drive away from the city to increase the odds of having more knowledgeable sales folks and more available inventory . I'm so happy I came across Bike Doctor of Waldorf! Mike was fantastic, knowledgeable, patient, and responsive. Awesome experience at Bike Doctor! I had a saddle mapping done by Chris and he found I was putting a lot of pressure on my left side and almost none on the right which was consistent with the pain I was having. While evaluating me, he discovered my left leg was slightly shorter than my right. He added a couple of spacers under my left cleat and when I got back on the bike, the pain was gone. The pressure numbers were lower overall and were equal on both sides.

I went to Bike Doctor for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I met with Jim for fitting with my road bike. He did an awesome job and spent lots of time with me. He explained everything, all the measurements and their purpose. He also explained that if I was interested in possibly getting a Tri bike I should come back and schedule time with Chris. Do I did. I met withChris yesterday and came away very pleased with the overall experience. Both Chris and Jim were willing to talk to me and listen to me about my needs. They gave me several options to think about without any pressure to purchase a bike. Bike Dr is exactly what a LBS should be, and arguable more. As busy as they were today Theresa saw that my bike got attention soon after I entered the store. ...which is pretty much exactly the service I've always received (even had Chris take care of me a couple of times). I had the pleasure of visiting Bike Doctor of Waldorf today for a fitting and help selecting some starter gear. I received nothing short of first class service from Chris and other shop staff throughout my visit(I apologize for forgetting the name of the guy who was assisting Chris with my fitting). It was clear from Chris and the staff's interaction with others visiting the shop that there were many repeat customers and that the entire team was extremely knowledgeable and truly had an interest in making sure everyone was well taken care of. An excellent bike shop -- HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I had bike fits on two of my bikes (a road/gravel bike and my MTB) by Chris Richardson, the owner. After shattering my right hip in an accident last fall, my right leg is 2/3” shorter and my range of motion is still somewhat impaired. Chris was a true expert, and I’m now riding pain free thanks to him. It was totally worth both the cost and the hour drive each way! Over the course of the couple visits, I had a chance to talk with other staff, watch them interact with customers, and check out the merchandise. I initially went to Bike Doctor in 2016 for a professional bike fit on my road bike. Their service was exceptional and I returned Dec 2017 looking for my first TT bike. Chris was very attentive to all my concerns especially my prior injuries, etc. He analyzed all the data and got me the bike I hope to have for a long time.
