Me and my family were visiting from out of state, hoping to find some good barbecue. We stumbled upon Bennett's, and I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. Service and hospitality were great. We had no wait at around 5 o'clock. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries and it was some of the best food I have ever had in my life. I've been eating barbecue for years and this meat was sone of the most tender, juicy, and clean meat I've ever had. I didn't find a sauce to use that I fell in love with, but the meat was so good that I didn't need it. I highly recommend that you finish off your meal with the peach cobbler, it's life changing. Found this place when we parked in the lot near it in Gatlinberg. Â Looked it up and decided to try it. Â Ordered a combo meat dinner, the smoked sausage and the bbq chicken. Â Got one of every side. For vacation we were staying in the Gatlinburg area and decided to try Bennett's Pit Bar-B-Que because it is friendly to families with food allergies, plus I had a hankering for southern-style bar-b-que (read "pork"). I tried the combo plate of pulled pork, smoked chicken, and smoked sausage. All were quite good. I didn't use any of the sauces because bar-b-que worth a darn doesn't need to be slathered in sauce, and these meats didn't disappoint. For sides I tried the baked beans and spicy macaroni and cheese, and both were excellent. Why 4 stars instead of 5? Being a Texan, no one does smoked briskets right except for Texans, and that was the case with the brisket that my daughter ordered. It appeared to be cooked to a done temp but not smoked long enough to properly render the fat or develop enough of a smoke ring. Don't get me wrong - the pulled pork, smoked chicken, and smoked sausage were quite good, and the beans and mac-and-cheese were excellent. However, for true smoked brisket don't bother - instead, drive to Texas and get a properly smoked brisket. More...

The food was amazing and service was great! We got the bbq combo with brisket, pulled pork & baby backs. Our son got the burger with the pork chili (can't remember what it's called) and it was so delicious. The variety of sauces were great. Do yourself a favor and use the house (it's served warm) with the vinegar based puckering pig, SUPER DELICIOUS. We can completely understand how this place keeps getting voted #1 year after year. Had an amazing adult sweet tea. The BBQ was just mediocre. Nothing special but also perfectly good. The restaurant is fairly large and can accommodate a large group easily. The greeter was really nice and made you feel welcome. The environment was very good and inviting. The prices was really good. I ordered the wings and I was glad that the wings was small they was really good. The meat was smoked and tender. I really loved the biscuits they was really fluffy and airy. The lemonade was good and just the way I liked it. I would recommend this restaurant to others for good food and good value. I will visit again when I'm in Gatlinburg. Our waitress Mrs. Sharon was very attentive without being worrisome. I like that it was hand scrub in the restroom so if the wet wipe didn't get all the sauce off your hand the scrub would, it left my hands soft and moisturized. I would buy it if they sold it. Best Bar-B-Que! We got the pork shoulder plate with two sides and a wonderful biscuit. I got the beans and potato salad. Hubby got the Mac and cheese with beans. This is a rustic, casual restaurant with awesome food. They have a meat item called hog legs, otherwise called pig shanks, that I've never seen in any other restaurant in any state. Pictured are baked beans, coleslaw, Mac n cheese, hog legs, pulled pork, deep fried corn, brisket, ribs, and smoked chicken. It was all amazing. Our waiter, Richard, was awesome. They had balloon animals for the kids. Kids meals included dessert which was a cute and fun treat. We had mild wings that were fantastic for our appetizer. Brisket burger was good. My kids had salad bar, kids pork sandwhich and chicken fingers. All of which they loved. We also had the Big Daddy combo and EVERYTHING TASTED AMAZING. Some the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Had the fried deviled eggs to start. Different and pleasantly surprised by the taste. Loved them. For the main entree I had the combo of brisket, smoked sausage and ribs. The tenderness of the meat was perfect. Didn’t need a knife for anything. Meat was seasoned perfectly, just needed a little sauce. They had a good variety of house sauces and I tried them all. Very tasty. Our server Lori was perfect. Very attentive and funny.
