Bemish Green Piano Studio offers private online piano lessons from the comfort of your own home! Professional pianist/composer Edward J. Bemish began teaching music in the 1990’s, and founded Bemish Green Piano Studio in 2001. Since that time, he has provided thousands of lessons to students of all ages and levels, some of whom have advanced to teach and perform professionally.

I've been taking lessons with Edward for not long, only a year, and it's been a pleasure learning to "speak" and "play" this new language. I appreciate Edwards deep well of patience, mandatory to teach students like me who constantly want to know why and how and everything that goes along with learning an instrument that has changed very little, since first invented by Bartolomeo di Francesco Cristofori in the 1700s. I particularly enjoy that Edward teaches not only the obvious importance of fingers-to-keys and site reading, but also discusses music theory, music history and introduces a variety of older and contemporary artists - it is a well-rounded combination. The Featured Artist segment offers students the opportunity to learn about other pianists and introduces a variety of playing styles - both former and contemporary from Clara Schumann to Chick Corea to Diana Krall (some of my favorites). Edwards combination of humour and patience keeps lessons fresh as we move through the evolution of the piano, learn theory and as we discuss the many artists who have shaped this musical art throughout the ages - everything comes together as it has for centuries. My only regret is that I did not begin this challenge earlier - I envy our younger students who will be able to learn and play for years. More...

Edward has been teaching music online for the last 15 years, long before COVID-19 made it necessary.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We have continued to provide online lessons as an additional option for students. In the studio, hand sanitizer is available for students to use before and after each lesson. We are also diligent about sanitizing between appointments.
Piano Lessons
At Bemish Green Piano Studio, we believe in empowering students to learn skills they will enjoy for the rest of their lives. To accomplish this, all lessons include: Proper Technique, Music Theory, and Sight-reading. As students advance, they can also study: Improvisation, Ear Training, Composition, and Songwriting.
