What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The 'secret' to taking a great photograph lies in good composition. Ensuring that everything within the frame when that shutter button is pressed is precisely as it should be with no stray lines or objects. Good depth of field also helps aim the focus on the main subject of the photograph.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Is there something, in particular, they are trying to achieve with their photos? Do they have a particular look or feel they would enjoy most within the final image? How many people will be involved in the photographs? Is there a specific location they would like to have the photographs taken? Are they wanting to use props in the photos or additional family members (cats, dogs, etc.) they may want to include for the family portraits? Will they be needing printed images or digital?
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing the finished images and the reaction from customers after receiving their photographs.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I enjoy the flexibility of being my own boss instead of following a specific hourly routine.

Two words: customer satisfaction. I strive to ensure that the experience is customer driven from start to finalized images. I also establish a connection with all my customers, conversing with them during the photography session to aid in establishing a relaxing atmosphere more conducive to great photographs.
