What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I don’t think there is a secret to taking a great photograph. The basis of it comes from having talent and putting in hard work. Learning the craft is so important, but it also takes an individual with the eye to see it.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
-What do they plan to do with their portraits?
-Have they ever had a customized photography session before?
-What are the most important shots to them?
What do you love most about your job?
I love getting to know new people and helping preserve their memories. The most rewarding thing for me is when I have my clients sitting in my studio watching their slideshow of pictures, and the emotion brings them to tears. Better yet, making dad tear up. I love to show the family relationships and connections, so when they view them, it warms their heart.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I love what I do and I want to share my talent with others.
Why should our clients choose you?
I work hard to create a personal experience for my clients. I allow them to take the lead in decision making, or take my direction if they rather. I assist in every aspect of the experience. I meet with my clients before their session, answering all of their questions and getting a good feel for their style and goals. I encourage them to message me randomly if a question should arise. I will help pick out wardrobes if requested. I take as much time as needed on the session and won’t leave until I feel confident I have accomplished everything needed. I showcase a large variety of portraits for the clients to see, so they aren’t left wondering if I missed something. I help with the selection process and offer my expertise when choosing the best images, and how to display them in the home.
