We hired DJ Joey for our wedding, and he was wonderful! Â We were most interested in having karaoke available for our guests, and he ran a great format for the night, alternating karaoke selections with dance tunes. Â Everyone got really into it, even people who don't usually do karaoke, and we all had such a good time! Â He also did an excellent job for our ceremony, reception and MC'ing during dinner. Â As a bonus, he brought along some colorful lights that really set the karaoke lounge / dance party scene. Hard to find a great DJ at a reasonable price, but we were lucky to find Joey. He promptly answered questions.
He was on time, generous with his time, consulted with our venue, made special announcements, and did a great job organizing our chosen music. I was concerned with the songs that we picked and our early afternoon time slot that it might be difficult to get people dancing, but there was always a full and lively dance floor with Joey’s help.

Joey was wonderful to work with! He was very flexible and easygoing. We had a few phone conversations during the wedding planning process and I made of list of the songs for the ceremony, dinner, reception, etc and he added some of his own and all song choices followed my requests (family friendly, censoring curse words, etc).
He also took requests from guests. I didn’t have to worry about anything on the day of! Joey got everything perfectly and my guests danced all night! I would definitely recommend!

We had such luck finding Joey. Or experience was amazing. By the end of the night we had people who claimed they never danced, dancing alongside us.
He definitely kept the flow of the wedding and let us relax and follow instead of feeling like we had to be in charge of everything.

Joey was the DJ for our wedding in May. He did a wonderful job! Whenever we had questions and reached him by email or phone, he always replied us in a timely manner and was very patient to answer our questions one by one. With his help, we managed to find the perfect version of the song that we wanted to perform at our wedding. As a professional DJ, he also gave us some quite useful advice on song selection when we were running out ideas. Joey was very reliable. On the wedding day, he arrived early and played most of the songs we wanted on the list. It went pretty smoothly and every one had a great time. Besides, he was honest with his service. Our wedding ended earlier than scheduled time and Joey chose to charge us according to the actual time length of the wedding although it was less than the time length we discussed before. I was sceptical about the 5 star ratings when I researched Bay Area DJ and Karaoke Event Services, but now I can say after experiencing it, that every single star is very well deserved - I would give 6 starts if I could. Joey was professional, personable, on time and accommodated our guests requests all in 98 degree heat. I couldn't say more positive things about Joey and Bay Area DJ and Karaoke Event Services.
