What kind of accounting services do you provide?
We are an outsourced accounting company that provides timely, accrual financial statements on a monthly basis. Our team is processing transactions daily and can manage AR, AP and payroll for customers as needed.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
A great accountant helps a business owner understand what drives the profitability of their business. Bookkeepers can help code transactions and generate basis financials. Accountants take it up a notch and are capable of proper accrual accounting, budgeting and forecasting, and interpreting what the numbers mean.
What do you love most about your job?
We love meeting new people and seeing new businesses. We have to truly understand the nature of the business so we can account for things properly and streamline the processes. It's like a puzzle that we get to solve using our knowledge of accounting.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Our team members may all answer this differently but my cofounder and I started this business because, as ex-financial statement auditors, we found a gap existed for small businesses growing from roughly $1mm in revenue up towards $10mm-$20mm. That's a tough period of growth for a business and a stressful time for business owners.
The previous path was to hire a bookkeeper that added limited financial value mainly there to generate an income statement. When the business grew, they began to hire employees to staff the accounting department. That's expensive and you either need to pay low and have limited experience or pay hirer and have them do high and low level work.
We wanted to offer something new. A scalable accounting solution with skilled technicians, a streamlined, cloud-based operation that allows you to access your information from anywhere, anytime.
