I FINALLY got to check out Barrique and the upstairs 18th Amendment Lounge with a great group of friends. I started out with a delicious Red Wine Whiskey Sour and the fried green tomatoes (both were to die for) and ended with Surf n Turf. Perfectly cooked medium-rare ribeye with a juicy lobster tail served over herb mashed potatoes and asparagus. I've eaten here twice this calendar year, most recently last month with family after an internment of ashes over at Willow Dale Cemetery. I've enjoyed both meals (a brunch and a dinner) very much. Service was quite good, too. I'm glad Goldsboro has such a nice place in the downtown area. I look forward to going back. More...

Ive never eaten at this restraunt. But today my family spent a large portion of time at Taste of Wayne and your booth caught our attention. The chef put so much attention and detail into each little portion cup he made, we watched as he very intricately prepared each fried green tomato. My family had a great time here at the upstairs lounge area. The food was excellent and the service was attentive. The waitress made good recommendations based on our preferences. I had the ahi tuna tacos and the watermelon feta salad to share with my mother. We both really enjoyed it. I also had a fried tomato (just plain - taken from my father's burger) which was very good. The highlight of the meal was the dessert. My grandparents enjoyed their bananas foster cheesecake and my creme brûlée was outstanding. I was told that the chef is trained as a pastry chef, so that probably explains why the desserts were so good. There was live music at 7:30 and the whole family enjoyed the band. This is a nice place to bring people for a meal. My only complaint is that the door was locked when we arrived after 5 pm when they open. We had to wait a minute for someone to come open it. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. After finding this new restaurant on Facebook, made a reservation. The atmosphere was great. The service was phenomenal and the food was outstanding. We then went up to the lounge upstairs and enjoyed another drink along with some live music.  All in all it was a great night. We would highly recommend. More...

The green beans were cooked perfectly, and the sesame oil used gave a slightly different twist that was addictive! We both ordered the CAB filet, and it was honestly the best steak I’ve had. I’m a foodie and tend to be picky about meats, and this place blew everyone else away. Shogo is the perfect lounge manager. Outstanding service, and definitely knows the right drinks to recommend! They have live music Wednesday and Saturday nights. Very inviting atmosphere. Laid back speak-easy feel. Goldsboro has definitely needed a quality place like this! Will DEFINITELY be returning!! Wish I could give more than 5 stars!! More...

Went in for brunch on Sunday. I had the bananas foster french toast and potatoes anna, bf had shrimp and grits and sausage. The french toast was good but had some burnt spots on the bottom and the banana topping was like mashed bananas with brown sugar. The potatoes were good but was really just home fries with tomatoes. Kind of expected a little more. I tried the shrimp and grits and that is how they have a 4 star from me. That dish was spectacular. Prefect balance of spice and grits were more creamy than gritty like most places. I would return and get the shrimp and grits. Very chill place too, hope it does well and may adds to the menu. By far the best restaurant we've been to in NC!! Definitely worth the drive from raleigh! The food is AMAZING, the service is great, and the whiskey bar is so cool! We Will definitely be back
