Warning! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BRAMMEL T.V.! I had lightning strike my home and damaged two TV’s, subwoofer, and stereo receiver. I called Brammel TV and spoke with John – CEO and Owner. I explained what happened and asked if they could help. John assured me that they are very successful at repairing equipment after a lightning strike. He explained they bill like airlines, they get paid up front. (My first warning sign) DON’T PAY UPFRONT! John charged my credit card $619. Diagnostic fees! He sent his Tech over to pick up my equipment, The Tech must have been in a hurry, and he ripped the wires from the equipment. (My second warning) One of my TV’s was working, but I had no way to test it. His tech hooked up a DVD and the TV did work. John still charged me a full diagnostic fee. After about a week and not hearing back, I called and had to leave a message. After a couple of days John did call me back, he explained how busy they are and have not gotten to my equipment yet. This went on for weeks, they never answer their phone, and usually have to leave multiple messages in order to get a return call. (My third warning) After a couple of weeks, John said my TV might be able to be repaired, but they were going to have to purchase parts that would cost almost as much as the TV after the diagnostic fee. I told him I would replace it rather than him continue to run up fees. A week or so later he called back and said he could not get any factory support on my subwoofer. He said he would be returning my subwoofer. The company that now owns them is listed on the internet. I was able to e-mail them for support. (My fourth warning) After another week John said he had to order a part in order to fix the stereo receiver, so he needed another $70, which I paid. After another week, and me calling several times, always have to leave a message and rarely returning my call within 24 hours. John told me that the first part didn’t work, but they could order another part for additional $120 that might fix it. AT that point I ask for and itemized receipt and my equipment returned. After over a month and almost $700 Brammel TV did not repair one piece of equipment and left my stereo wires in shambles! They did refund my $70, Big Deal! Let me repeat, DO NOT USE BRAMMEL TV. Asked to repair a three year old Denon receiver with center channel speaker problems. When the system was returned to me the setup assistant feature did not work along with many other features of the system making it unusable. When I returned it they were not even aware of the on screen setup capabilities. After additional work claimed new parts needed to be ordered. Ultimately the system now needed more work than it was worth. In summary do not take newer equipment to be repaired by this shop. More...
