My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary dinner and it was fantastic! We had never been to a Mediterranean restaurant before and our server was very patient with us and helped us out by explaining the different items on the menu. I loved the admospher, our waitress was so nice and friendly, beautiful smile. The food was fresh, very delicious, desert was sweet and mouth watering! This evening my family and I had dinner here. The establishment is excellent. Sensible and elegant décor, friendly hostess, and good service. Our server Gary was a delight. He was friendly and helpful, I am sure a valued employee. Our cocktails were fantastic and the woman tending bar with the nice tattoos has some real skill in drink making. We ordered the feast for two, which fed my wife and I and our two boys. Everything was very enjoyable. We will be back soon. Also whatever Pandora station or playlist was going was really nice. Our family will be moving permanently back next year to the area for my husband new job from FL after nearly 20 years the first time so he wanted to show me something to really look forward to since we're leaving behind one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants and our 15 years of active beach scene tourist town life living to move to "landlocked" Fayetteville again. My husband surprised me with dinner taking me here. He knows my love and admiration for my Turkish/Lebanon ancestry and it's culture of food flavor. The food here was by far one of the most amazing I've had outside of my Grandmother's and my own kitchen homemade. We ordered the feast and even at it's price per person it was absolutely worth it. The dolmas were so fluffy and fresh and the gyro meat as well and the falafel crispy and done in perfect sizes so it wasn't doughy inside. The Hummus and Tzatziki left me speechless and thrilled knowing I will have a great place to eat as the one restaurant I'm leaving behind to. I asked to try the traditional coffee with the Greek yogurt Cheesecake and it paired perfectly, the staff definitely should offer the option to try it to the guest when the desserts come. I chuckled a little when the waitress was surprised to I knew about the cup reading tradition after finishing it. The restaurant decor is absolutely charming and elegant to. This will definitely become one of my favorite frequent places to eat, I didn't think I'd find one as great as I have now, but I did and look forward to many memories going back in the future with the amazing staff as well. Owner and staff made our experience above and beyond! I walked in for lunch with my kids and didn't realize what a nice place this was. As I was about to walk out, everyone immediately welcomed me in with open arms, reinforcing how much they enjoyed having children! The owner came over to our table and walked me through the menu and what I could order for my kids that would simpler and more recognizable to them- and reminded me that they used paper tablecloths at lunch just for their tiny patrons! My husband, Mike and I were headed back home to SC from a road trip and decided to stop in Fayetteville as we had never been to grab some lunch. Soooo very glad we did!! Beautiful family-owned restaurant in center of town. Sat at the bar and had lovely conversation with Erin (owner) who told us all about the town. The food is AHHH-mazing!!! We ordered a bottle of wine, spinach salad with chicken, hummus/eggplant/salad pizza, mashed potatoes and baklava... already planning a trip back!! More...

I haven't spent much time in Fayetteville, honestly. And when I stopped over for 2 days I didn't have high expectations for restaurants.

However, Sherefe is a gem. It is little downtown Fayetteville in an older building (part of the window is taped to the wall). The food is excellent, however. I had a lentil burger and eggplant mashed potatoes (highly recommend).

I had good service and a friendly waiter overall. It got a little busy when a group was having a party but the hostess came and picked up checks to make up for it.

I plan on returning next time I am in Fayetteville. More...
