We hired Claudia to bake our wedding cake and I'm so glad we did!! We wanted just a simple cake for cutting, and then a larger sheet cake that could be served to our guests. Claudia made the process so simple (and delicious!) and affordable. We met with her to do a tasting, and we had so much fun trying the different flavors and discussing our wedding details. Claudia is so friendly and professional. She understood my vision completely and was able to make it come to life. We found wedding planning to be stressful and maddening until we found Claudia and Babushka Bakery. Claudia is an absolute professional and extremely responsive and easy to work with. She also had a lot of great suggestions for us that really helped us narrow down our vision for our cake and for flavors. Everyone at the wedding absolutely RAVED about our cake- both the look and the taste. She created the perfect wedding shower cake for my daughter ‘s shower! I did this long distance and was a little bit nervous! The best cake, cookies and macaroons I have ever eaten. It’s the only way to sum up my experience with Babushka bakery. I’ve had Claudia send cookie platters to my sorority and birthday cakes to friends and family. The cakes literally look like works of art and taste even better. Every year we send our top employees a package of sweets from Babushka Bakery. They are shipped throughout the US and are a real delicacy for our team. I don't write online reviews very often but when someone exceeds expectations by such a large margin, I feel compelled to do so. I've had the pleasure of working with Claudia first for personal orders like family birthday cakes and holiday desserts. The results were always spectacular. The products are beautifully presented, the taste is out of this world and Claudia is so incredibly easy to work with. She is one of those rare individuals who can anticipate your needs before you realize you have them, and she takes your ideas to a whole new level. The feedback on her creations has been so incredible I now ship desserts and gifts to friends and family all over the country.More recently, I started using Claudia for corporate work as well, and the results have been equally impressive. I send pounds and pounds of delicious toffee to our customers and prospects at various times throughout the year, and our business has grown because of this. Let me start by saying Claudia is AMAZING!! She is so kind, sweet, understanding and truly talented. This is going to be a two part review. I used Babushka for two very important occasions. One being my wedding last year and the second being my moms 50th birthday. Both cakes were delicious and truly works of art. For my moms 50th cake she made her a second gluten free cake because of my moms gluten allergy out of the pure kindness of her heart. She also did the same for my wedding because she wanted my mother to be able to have the same experience as everyone else at her daughters wedding. Claudia made the best cake for our wedding.  All of our guests absolutely loved it! I can't tell you how easy working with Claudia at Babushka Bakery was for our July 2016 wedding. The wedding process is very time consuming between maintaining a job and attending all of the other wedding appointments that follow. Claudia understands and appreciates that time is precious during this time and does a lot of her communication back and forth through email. Her process is one that worked very well for my husband and I, as meeting in person was pretty difficult at times. Claudia was very responsive via email throughout our whole wedding process. We shared ideas of cakes we liked and went back and forth in formulating the design that met our expectations. Claudia was very helpful with recommendations and suggestions for flavors and style. If I haven't sold you already, you will die when you do a tasting. Her work is outstanding and beyond beautiful. Most people think ehh its wedding cake no one really cares about it. NOT. SO. We had countless people comment on how delicious our red velvet wedding cake was. (Claudia also made a University of Michigan grooms cake which was a hit as well as recreated my parents wedding cake which was also very special and delicious. All received great reviews!) We saved the top tier of our cake to try on our one-year anniversary and I can tell you it's been torture knowing it's there and that I can't eat it. I can remember countless occasions during the wedding process when I received an email from Claudia and it just felt like a breath of fresh air. She knows what she is doing. She is affordable. She is so so talented and very calming in nature. I would strongly encourage you contact her even if you are remotely interested. Babushka Bakery continues to blow us away. Claudia is wonderful to work with and is an artist with her designs and her cakes. Every item we have ever had from Babushka Bakery is beautiful and absolutely delicious. She will take into consideration any dietary needs you may have, any allergies, and do her best to make your dream cake a reality. Even better, she will deliver! My 9 year-olds cake was not only gorgeous on the outside, but then we cut into the cake and all 10 of the girls at the party let out a gasp of surprise - it was layers and layers, with rainbows; the perfect little girl cake. I simply love Claudia at Babushka Bakery! i have ordered birthday cakes for the past several years. I recently got married, (April 30, 2104), and called Claudia for suggestions on a wedding cake.
