Rick Bean was a delight to work with from start to finish! He was responsive to my many emails leading up to the big day and answered all of our questions with energy and excitement! He and his team arrived early to talk to our officiant and venue hosts to make sure everyone was on the same page with how the evening's events would proceed. It felt like our guests never left the dance floor and we're still getting compliments on the reception playlist! We HIGHLY recommend Rick as a DJ for any couple looking to have a great time. If you do go with B&B light and Sound be sure to rent their photo/video booth! We're still laughing at the videos our guests left us days later. Used this company as the DJ and photo booth at my wedding. Overall, they delivered but there were some things I was not pleased with. This review is really for them to take into consideration for future events. Pros: spent an hour on the phone with me going over details prior to the wedding, upbeat and enthusiastic personality, had great ideas for engagement during the reception, organized and clearly knew what they were doing, had people laughing and dancing Cons: person I was told would be my DJ, and I spent the hour talking to, did not turn out to be the DJ.. I understand that things come up, but I would’ve liked to have had the heads up All special requests seemed to be an issue, and some were ignored 1. Requested music be played at cocktail hour and gave list of songs to play.. no music was played during cocktail hour2. Requested there be different songs for each couple as their entrance into the reception.. was unable to accommodate this unless the songs started at the beginning 3. My father wrote down a couple’s name who had an anniversary the same day as the wedding and asked this be recognized.. it was not4. There were songs I suggested to be played that were important and were not played - endless love was my in-laws wedding song so it would’ve been a special moment to have this be playedI understand that due to time restrictions, there were things that had to be cut.. but some of these things could have happenedDespite everything above, overall I gave a 4/5 because how good they were in other ways made up for what was neglected. From the very first time I spoke with Rick Bean, I knew I liked him. I knew B&B Light and Sound would be perfect for our wedding. Well, they far exceeded our expectations. We had an absolute BLAST at our wedding reception and it because of Rick Bean. He is personable, funny, and extremely responsive. Rick was perfect for our wedding. He played the exact genre of music we were looking for as well as keeping the crowd entertained. He didn't stutter on any names of the bridal party and I threw some wicked ones at him. It was refreshing that he never skipped a beat! And we LOVED that he interacted with our friends and family. He even offered to hold a baby while one of my bridesmaids was up dancing with myself and new husband. My dad and I transitioned from the traditional father daughter dance to Silento and finished the dance off "whipping and nae naeing" and he transitioned it perfectly. Bridal shows can be so overwhelming as a bride, Rick with B&B Light & Sound DJ’s made it fun to be there! He has such personality, fun but also very professional. The whole process with booking was so easy, We booked and than a week before we had a phone conversation. The day of the wedding was AMAZING. EVERYTHING WENT SMOOTHLY, I mean everything. I didn’t even see Rick before the ceremony started, but everything we talked about was spot on. The songs, the speeches and right into dancing! NO ONE STOPPED DANCING! The music was perfect! There was no old chessy wedding songs, no crazy rap but a mix of sing along songs, songs that everyone loves to dance to and just a great time. We had one slow song! Which I didn’t even realize until the next day! Lol Rick knows what he is doing, he goes with the flow/vibe! We did a fun first dance and Rick did such a good job making it seem like the sound system broke. OH, YOU DIDN’T KNOW YOU WERE HIRING AN ACTOR TOO!! Rick and his so. Drove pretty far outside of their comfort zone to do our wedding in the middle of nowhere. Let me say this, they absolutely stole the show. My husband and I knew we wanted to have B&B at our wedding from the moment we saw them at a bridal show. We are so happy we stuck with this decision! I was walking around a bridal show and told my maid of honor i want a dj to play a variety of music. We had a blast with Rick. He made sure all music that we specifically requested was played. He found our obscure songs that we requested for different recessionals. He worked with officiant and singer on the day of our wedding without our need to supervise (as we were off trying to get pictures taken). He is a character, in a good way. B&B Light and Sound did an amazing job for our wedding reception! We wanted something simple and straightforward: we decided to forgo uplighting, a photo booth, games, and some of the traditional reception events like the bouquet toss, and just focus on great music and dancing instead. Rick from B&B listened to what we wanted, and never tried to upsell us on an experience that we weren’t interested in (although this company does offer those services, and based on our experience with them I know they would do a great job if that’s what you want). Our emcee for the evening had a sincere, genuine vibe and kept the evening rolling - plus he handled hard-to-pronounce family names like a champ! Our disk jockey took our song choices and blended together the perfect evening of music, from the dinner music to our first dance and kept the party swinging with a great mix of songs throughout the night. Rick was PHENOMENAL for our wedding. Worked with all of our random requests, kept our wedding from getting stuffy & slow, from the very beginning entrance song to the very last departure song. We had a blast with him, he kept everyone out of their chairs and on the dance floor! All of our guests had nothing but great things to say about him as well.

We used B and B light and sound as our DJ for our wedding in November 2017. Rick was our Dj, he was amazing and kept everybody entertained. We had several kids there and he had such patience with them and graciously attended to their song requests.
