I cannot say enough wonderful things about Chelsey at Awakening Photography. I came across her business when she was offering sessions for little ones to try on a gorgeous traveling dress, and the timing happened to align perfectly for my daughter's yearly birthday photos. She was so kind, organized, and my four year old trusted her within minutes of our session. After we finished, she showed me a few of the poses she captured and I just knew the final pictures were going to be amazing. Well, I was wrong. They were amazing and then some!! We were to pick out 5 photos to keep with the option of buying extra, but I couldn't possibly narrow them down. So I asked my husband to pick his favorite... He couldn't choose either! So then we numbered them and sent them all to family to vote on... Every single person literally chose different images as their favorites. So, I ended up buying ALL of them. Yup. They were THAT AMAZING. Stunning. She captured our daughter in the most timeless way and in each of her quirky, sweet, lovable personalities that everyone loved each image for different reasons. 5 stars! Wow! We loved using Chelsey and Steven for our Christmas pictures! We were able to get several amazing pictures quickly as we have a restless 7 month old and my husband is notorious for hating to get his pictures taken! They were very friendly and made us all feel comfortable, we got big smiles out of our 7 month old and my husband looked comfortable and relaxed! We were also able to get our wild dog in a few pictures! Couldn’t be more happy, the style of their photography is beautiful and unique with a coziness that I haven’t found in other photographers. We had the best experience with Chelsea! It was just like taking a leisurely walk around the square. With a 2 year old you never know how it will go but Chelsea’s pace and laid back demeanor made it go so smoothly! I’m not even sure our daughter knew she was getting her photo taken most times! My husband and I are SO PLEASED with our photography session that we booked with Chelsey. I am the worlds biggest planner and scheduled/paid for this session about three months in advance. She was very professional in giving us exact details on what to expect and reached out a week or so before the shoot to give an update and reminder. We set the time for 7PM and she was a bit worried the sun would be too harsh and asked if we could push it back about half an hour. I loved that this was offered by her! I was all for pushing it back a little but my 8 month old goes to bed by that time and I knew she wouldn't do well that long. Again, I was very pleased that she extended this option for us. As for the photos themselves and the way she handled herself at the shoot, she's amazing. We are in love with our pictures. They are all very classy and beautiful. She offered suggestions as to how to sit, pose, etc and never turned down to take any pictures that we thought would be a good idea. $75 for a mini session, plus the QUALITY and amount of photos you get back to choose from is WELL WORTH IT.
