Anytime Fitness

I moved from Planet Fitness to Anytime. At first I was miffed by the small size of the gym itself and the higher price. It wound up being the same price for me because I was taking the bus to PF, so it spares me the fare (and I am driving again now, anyway). AF has the same number of machines as PF, too meaning that you can do the same exercises but they don't have like 3 dozen cardio machines like PF does. I've never once had a problem getting onto the equipment I need for my workout and prefer the smaller scale overall for sure. One of the best things about AF is the video workout, so you select from like 200+ fitness videos (like those group ones Boxx, Zumba, Yoga, etc. etc.) and you watch on a projector tv the leader of the group. This is actually awesome, especially if you want to just warm up with one or alternate/enliven your workout regimen. AF gives you a FREE personal trainer session every 6 weeks! This helped me break through the barrier with my workout and it has helped inordinately. I mean, it's huge. The trainer at this location is really nice and very intelligent. The owner of AF here is super chill, too. It's way more personal than PF and it doesn't have those obnoxious corporate slogans on the wall. I watch Tennis when I do cardio but PF just has tv's playing the same channel and you cannot select? So this is cool. The location by the park is outstanding. Right now it's summer and they open the front walls (like a garage door style) so you get fresh air coming in. You have a view of the beautiful park while you exercise. Another thing is that the gym is sparkling clean. You can tell the owner is really strong about cleanliness because it's consistent. I'd definitely recommend AF, though I don't know how good other locations are. I know there's a lot of variance from one to the next because it's a huge franchise but this one is excellent and definitely worth the money. It never gets too crowded and the people who workout are cool, I mean...no real down side that I can report about the gym. It's also close to Plaid Pantry which has Vitamin Water and other refreshers like that for cheap. Then the Farmer's Market is once a week for two days right outside the location. Great little gym. This is a GREAT gym! HOWEVER TURN THE DAMN CELIENG FANS OFF! Whatever good they do cool the place off is not worth the strobe light and headache. Right now they're on full blast and I'm seeing stars. Able to work out, day or night. Building is secure after hours to make sure everyone is safe. Clean fitting rooms and everything gets wiped down after every use. Was a good spot to get lost on a treadmill while jogging to music. More...

The staff member, John, worked with me very well! I was able to set up my membership when I wasn't planning too which is actually pretty amazing! John gave me one of my best customer experiences I've had with anything to this day! John really cares about his customer's and everything that is going on inside the gym, including rules, security etc. I can tell that I made the right choice for my membership that fits my schedule and what I look for in a gym!
