Anna’s is always amazing. The best authentic Mexican food I have ever had anywhere. I had them cater a party for me once and everyone raved about the food all night. I go to the newton location often. They have recently started charging extra for a lot of stuff which is fine, everyone does now. My only complaint is that they skimp on a lot of stuff recently as well. I love their salsa and used to ask for extra but would just get regular. Now I have them put it on first then ask for more but still end up with a tiny serving. If your customers are going through fixins’ like salsa and veggies quickly then simply make more! This is a fine spot for an authentic, quick, and cheap meal. My order: regular size burrito on a wheat tortilla, steak, guac, rice, pickled onions, pico, and lettuce. You can easily tell that this place is a local favourite. There are two lines for serving, and ample seating downstairs. There seems to always be a line. Lunch is about $8. The food was expertly seasoned. The tortilla was warmed up before the burrito was made.The layout of the restaurant is thoughtful. Very reasonably priced, quick tacos/burritos. I really appreciated how my burrito was stuffed to its fullest - i could barely finish it! The chicken and the carne in red sauce are the only types I've tried so far but i liked both. I enjoy a little crisp on my burritos for structure so I like to ask for mine to be grilled. It makes a huge difference and helps keep the burrito in shape :) last time I went I forgot to ask for it and my saggy (but full!!) burrito was so hard to keep together. Update- had a small steak burrito. The toppings were all good- guac, rice, beans, sour cream, sauces, and jalapeño.  Not into the cut of meat they use as steak though. Had a huge taco bar for our wedding and EVERYONE loved the food! I would absolutely recommend them for catering for any event! Downfall, they forgot the sour cream. This was a huge disappointment. I come here often due to convenience (steps from the porter t stop) and usually I'd give it 3 or 4 stars. The chicken tastes dry, the ingredients never blew me away, but WOW. I ordered the al pastor speciality tacos last night and they were fantastic. Anna's is a must if you're in the Boston area.  Reminds me of all the times I used to come here for lunch during my free blocks in high school.  You have not had a quesadilla until you have been here.  Their quesadillas are like intense burritos.  The put the cheese in a tortilla and sear the tortilla giving it a great crispy crunchy texture.  Then they open it back up and add all your food inside of that and roll it up like a burrito. Honestly not sure how this place doesn't have a 5 star rating. I've been eating at Anna's since I was in high school and their burritos are just as bomb as they always were. I live in California now and just reviewed a Cali burrito spot and said "it's a top 3 burrito I've ever had". The reason it isn't #1 is because Anna's is far and away the best burrito I've ever had. This is one of those places that tis like Qdoba and Chipotle but so much better!Went here with a former frequenter. I got a grilled veggies burrito. The assembler grabbed three large veggie pieces and sliced and mixed them before putting them in the burrito. This was neat to see and had a very good flavor. No matter how many Mexican places I try, NONE even come close to Anna's. I even went to El Pelon Taqueria which is rated #1 in Boston by Yelp and the meat was nothing like the tender, juicy, fresh meat at Anna's. Here's my secret for the perfect meal at Anna's: always get the quesadilla. Basically it's a burrito but the tortilla is fried on the hot top, so the outside is flaky and crunchy and the whole thing is warm and crisp and not soggy. I LOVE ANNA'S!Here is the deal... cafeteria style ordering.  All the meat is cooked right there.  You can see them make your food.  They melt the cheese and your tortilla on a press!  I don't feel liek after that I need to explain any further!Everyone who works there is Hispanic (just showing their authenticity here!)  Quesadilla thrown in  press?  No way!  they baste it in something (is it oil?) then throw it right onto the grill- hand flipping it!  You can have any burrito topping added and make it the size of a burrito!  The cheese is so soft and delicious!I had a chicken burrito and once again, with the melted cheese and anything else that pleases me... you cannot go wrong here! Why oh why did it take me so long to visit one of these locations? I heard so many good things but still was hesitant. Well on this fine day I wanted to eat tacos so bad and I decided let me give it a go. The menu options are something else. Everything on there is just appealing, have to be careful with some places cause that's how they get you. Thought that would be the case here and it wasn't.You walk in and that is kind of weird cause there are 2 serving stations and a cash register in the middle. If it is your first time going there you are kind of lost cause you arent sure why there are 2 places and there are no signs that tell you where to go. Okay so this place is AMAZING. It's set up similar to Chipotle except it shits all over Chipotle. Anna's is excellent in house or to go. There are 8 locations 2 in Brookline, 2 in Cambridge, 1 in Somerville, 2 in Boston and 1 in Newton (which is the one I frequent). Anna's serves up some authentic Mexican cuisine, but my recommendation is the Super Burrito. The Super Burrito remains superior above all other burritos because of its delicious taste, and it's ability to hold together no matter what. I believe this is because they steam the tortilla (with or without cheese). I add white rice, chicken, corn, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, and their house made special hot sauce. I got here after the gym all the time. This is a consistently solid Anna's location. Four stars because sometimes Newton soccer moms take over the place with their bratty children and the soda fountains sometimes don't have carbonation in them.

I am old and when I say that I have been going to Anna's since they opened. The carnitas burrito with fresh avocado and refried beans is my go to but I have had the steak and chicken and those are great too. Sadly I go so often they know my order.
