They were the cheapest place around to fix our dog and they were amazing. My dog is still very young and jumps a lot. When we went to pick her up we found a staff member curled up cuddling our dog cuz she was scared. (It totally melted my heart they took the time to try to carm her) Most places would of put him/her in the crate till pick up. This place loved on her till I got there to pick her upUpdate- my son and I just recently checked out the adoption area and we were amazed. The staff is so friendly, very helpful, and a total pleasure to be around. They are very clean- even the pet holding spots. They are really busy on the weekends so I would suggest trying to adopt during the week. The stuff was really hands on with all the animals there. And they really seem to take pride in the in thier job & work & it truly shows. The animals seemed I credibly happy, well taken care of, & definitely loved. 2+ years ago I found my best friend at ARLGP in the form of a 5 year-old cow-spotted cat with no tail and just a handful of teeth. His adoption fee was the best money I've ever spent, and to this day my boyfriend and I are so enchanted by his ever-blooming personality. Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland really gave me the best gift I could have asked for.
