What an absolutely gorgeous hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My husband surprised me for my 5oth birthday with staying overnight here and attending the musical Wicked at the Fox Theatre. We definitely recommend this hotel, as we like too how you can chose a room color..we chose red. More...

I think Angad Arts Hotel might be my favorite overnight stay of all time.||||My friend and I were in town to see a show at the Fabulous Fox Theatre, which is right across the street. We each booked a room at Angad Arts and immediately upon arrival we were impressed with the service.||||Al, the valet, was friendly, helpful, and courteous. He saw that we were struggling with our luggage a bit and changed course and helped us get upstairs to the lobby to check in. (The lobby is on the 12th floor.)||||Jeff checked us both in. He found my reservation and quickly took care of my Red room with a King bed, explaining the $75 hold per night. Then he pulled up my friends room and saw that she was in a Green Queen room; he made a face and said, "Eh, that's not my favorite room. Let me see what else I have." He couldn't find her a Green King but did put her in a Queen room that he said was more to his liking. Of note, every time we saw Jeff after that he chatted with us, asked us about our stay, and made restaurant recommendations nearby.||||Both of our rooms were great; my King room was a little bigger (which makes sense) and I loved the small details and artistic touches. My only very small criticism is the lighting situation. Admittedly I like a lot of light and I like when I can turn off the illumination from the bed. I had all the lights on in the room (including the bathroom) until bedtime and then I had to either wander around in the dark after turning them all off or use the really cool small reading lamp attached to the headboard. Small quibble and during the day, the natural light was plentiful.||||My friend's favorite feature was the high level of security. She felt as safe in the hotel as she does "in Disney World, which is saying a lot." You must have a room key to get to your floor - and for instance, I couldn't get to her room on Floor 9 without her key and vice versa as I was staying on Floor 6.||||We had two nights here and she had breakfast both nights in the restaurant on the ground floor. She said it was very good, appropriately priced, but was confused about where all the staff went at the end of her meal both days where she literally had to ask someone to bring her the bill and then to return to collect payment. Seemed bizarre to her.||||The view from the rooftop patio was stunning and we had friends with us two different times and showed them this feature. We took some great photos up there and would love to come back in warmer weather to just relax on top of St. Louis.||||The neighborhood was quite walkable and we got good advice from hotel staff not to "go north of the Powell," which was where the symphony plays for safety reasons. We explored St. Louis University's campus, took photos of a sculpture park that was decorated for Christmas, and ate at a couple different close by restaurants. ||||Valet was quick, efficient, and friendly even when we wanted our car at 11pm to go find milkshakes (epic fail Steak and Shake!). There's a really fun store on the first floor just opening the weekend we visited called CLR MNSTR and their owner let us in to browse late at night while she was working. (We actually saw her later in a parking garage down by the arch and she greeted us with vigor. St. Louisites are so friendly!)||||Check out was just as easy as check-in; the only bad thing about this stay was that we had to go home.||||We will definitely be back. More...

Expectations were greatly exceeded! My husband and I came to St Louis for our wedding anniversary and are so thankful we found this gem. The Angad is in such a great location, far enough from downtown, but close to plenty of restaurants and bars. When I booked my reservation, the lady that helped me was so sweet and attentive. Check in is 4 pm and we arrived just before 1 and got to a room. We decided on the red room with a view and not disappointed at all. The feel is very eclectic and mysterious, very clean and classy. On Saturday night we went upstairs to the rooftop bar for drinks and had so much fun! There was a live DJ and a private party and overall a large crowd.I was extremely pleased with our stay and would absolutely be back!!! More...

Hotel is excellent, they have a great bar and restaurant. The environment is second to none, room was great, but I really want to write about their staff. Me and my wife are a very social couple and the human/people aspect of anything is very important for us. I can say without a doubt that I've never seen a staff like Angad's before. The staff is amazing, from the front desk to the valet team. Every single person that we interact with had a smile on their face. That tells me that the hotel management treat them well. We stayed at Angad Arts Hotel the evening of our wedding, which was held at a venue across the street (ANEW Rooftop). Staying at the Angad is a fun and visually-immersive experience that will delight and even surprise its visitors. We stayed in one of the larger, blue king suites with an Eastern view overlooking downtown St. Louis and the Arch. Viewing the evening lights over the city and the sunrise the following morning was such a treat. Our blue room was nicely decorated with modern furniture and fixtures, ample seating areas and a very nice kitchenette. After our reception, several of our guests joined us at the Angad's rooftop bar to continue the celebration. We did not get to enjoy the hotel's restaurant during our stay (Grand Tavern by David Burke) but I've heard great things about it, so we will definitely return. In summary, we loved our stay at the Angad. The level of service was outstanding. More...

This is an art-centered hotel in the art district of St. Louis. The rooms are selected by color and although updated, they remind me of stays in some of the older boutique hotels in New York. The building is a warehouse renovation and you enter the hotel from the top floor. The staff were very polite and informative. The bar on top of the building offers great views and if the weather is right, a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. If you are going to an event in the art district, I would highly recommend this unique hotel. More...

My wife, adult son and I appreciated the uniqueness of the room, lobby, and common areas of this hotel. The rooftop indoor/outdoor bar has good views of downtown on clear nights. We were pleasantly surprised to find this unique hotel in the St. Louis University / Arts area. It is convenient to downtown and, with Interstate 64/Hwy 40 so close, the western suburbs. With a gated parking lot used by the inexpensive valet service, I felt comfortable leaving my car with the hotel but would not park on a neighboring public street. Eat at the hotel instead of the diner across the street as the diner had very poor service for breakfast. You can hear traffic on Grand Ave so request a room that faces away from Grand. More...

The lobby is on the 12th floor. Once you know that you're good. Love this place. So creative and hip. Every employee was friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful (we were in a yellow mood:) Everything was very clean and efficiently organized. We loved the rooftop bar and the most unusual drinks we've ever seen were handcrafted with so much care. We even enjoyed the instruments in the game room after we returned from a concert with a few drinks in us (sorry to the hotel staff ;) The room was quiet. We weren't woken up by cleaning staff in the halls and we couldn't hear anyone in other rooms. The biggest problem for me was the water pressure. There's no way I could've washed my hair in that wimpy (yet beautiful) shower. Luckily we were only there for a day, but it's a real bummer because it's not a place I can stay for a long weekend as much as I would love to. The hooks and towel placement is a little unusual. Hand towels by the shower. Bath towels by the sink. So your bath towel goes on the toilet or over the door for getting out of the shower, why not just add some hooks on the blank wall right by the shower? Also, it's nice to have a Keurig in the room, but for how funky this hotel is, I feel they can do better than that. I imagine a kettle and pour-over coffee or something a little more on-trend. That's no biggie though. Just a thought. I will definitely come back someday. More...
