Q&As

I listen, I observe, I ask questions and then I begin the process of implementing changes approved by the customer.

Here is a brief timeline of my IT Career

1. Presbyterian Employment Summary. 1996 to June 2015. Jerome Padilla 505 385 1788
a. Worked as a senior project manager when I started in healthcare IT and was tasked with managing a project to implement a Radiology Information system for Presbyterian Healthcare. I acquired a James Martin Project Management Certification and successfully completed the project.
b. During the Radiology Project I was asked if I knew how to program to assist programming HL7 interfaces. I ended up assisting in the programming of admitting and order messages between the Main system and radiology.
c. After completion of the Project, I was promoted to a Functional Manager managing several applications including Radiology with a team of 5 system analysts.
d. Each year I was given additional responsibilities, so the Integration Team was added to my responsibilities along with additional application and team members.
e. I was promoted to a Senior Manager and given the responsibility the integrate all the ancillary systems with the Main Healthcare system. I requested a team structure change and added several Project managers to my team and additional interface developers. I requested that a Program be created to track the projects.
f. I was given responsibility to manage the integration and application teams to meet the yearly business requirement of the organization.
g. I worked in this role for about 10 years and implemented over a hundred projects and 400 interfaces between systems. These projects necessitated me managing system analysts, database admins, software coders, interface developers, testing and support teams for a 3-billion-dollar healthcare organization.
h. I was moved into an IT solution Architect role during a reorganization of leadership working as a trusted partner with Senior level stakeholders.

As well as rebuild and upgrade the existing integration infrastructure. So I implemented a Enterprise Service Bus from Oracle utilizing a Service Oriented Architecture to create a highly scalable model for the enterprise.

3. I left Presbyterian Health Care to work for Speridian Technologies in June 2015 to open a new office in New Mexico as the Head of Business Development with the prospect of securing a large modernization project for the Department of child and human services for the State of New Mexico. Speridian did not get the contract due to a loss of an expired Pricing Agreement after months of negotiations with the State of New Mexico. The pricing agreement expired as I joined the team. We lost the bid in the final stages and as a result the leadership who was spread around the United States decided to focus their growth on other states and left the company at the end of 2015.
