I was recommended to Amy and her team by my planner, who had worked with her for many weddings in the past. I was lucky enough to have my hair and makeup trial on the date of my engagement photos. Ariel was my artsier for the engagement photos and the wedding day, and she was so personable and kind. She made sure to ask me for my feedback frequently throughout both the trial and the actual wedding day. When I didn't know how one makeup style or product would impact the final look, she explained it to me perfectly and provided me with all the tools to choose the makeup look that fit best with my wedding vision. I have naturally very curly hair, and I was worried about working with a hairstylist who didn't specialize in curly hair. However, yet again, Ariel blew it out of the park! She worked with my curls to help me create a wedding hairstyle that enhanced my natural curls rather than mask them. Two weeks before the wedding, my grandmothers asked if they could get their hair and makeup done as well, and Amy and her team were so accommodating and quick to help fit them in on that busy Saturday afternoon. Amy's senior artist, Angel, and her team of 2 did such a great job for my wedding two weeks ago. Angel really worked with me at the makeup and hair trial to understand the kind of look I was going for and absolutely nailed it on the day of. She really took in the feedback given, gave me her professional advice, and executed a flawless look. I was so happy with how it all turned out. Thank you, Angel! Pros: - punctual - communicative and very fast response time - created beautiful looks for my bridal party - open to suggestions for changing or altering looks based on what my bridal party wanted - flexible in using products that I brought for my make up trial - overall very reliable and did great work Cons: - attitude - my bridal hair felt rushed - my experience felt rushed - I had hives break out from stressing out the night before and asked her about any cover up and she just brushed it off and said it's not noticeable or if air brush is used there is no guarantee it won't get on the dress. Rather than feeling like someone who is given the time of day I felt like just another customer to get through. On the morning of the wedding, it seemed like Amy was running behind so my bridal hair had to be worked on later. That's fine. But my hair was done in the same amount of time as the bridesmaid before me and that I was rushed to try to figure out what to fix for it. It wasn't really fair since bridal hair is 50% more the cost of bridal party hair. I don't know where she had to get to, but the experience with her felt stressful from my perspective. Also Amy was more chatty/friendly with my friend who could speak her language but with me she was more curt and too the point. If I'm going to be completely honest, there was a bump protruding out in the back of my head from the hairstyle that looked weird. But if she had to fix it then it would take a long time. I wasn't sure about it and was trying to assess the look but she rushed me to tell her if my hair was ok or not so she could pack up and leave. For my hives, I ended up applying foundation last minute myself at the venue because it just looked so red on my body and it was very noticeable. I wish I spent more time on myself trying to fix the redness while getting ready rather than believing Amy when she said it wasn't really noticeable. More...

Amy is awesome! She did my hair on my wedding day along with some of my bridesmaids. We had a total of 7 people get hair and make up so she came with 2 assistants. Everyone was beautiful and ready ahead of schedule. I loved my look for the day and my hair lasted all night even though dancing. Amy and her team did a wonderful job for my wedding this past April! Amy is very responsive, easy to work with, and so friendly. She and her team also did makeup and hair my my two bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law, and did an outstanding job. I had my trial back in January and sent her examples of what makeup and hairstyle I was thinking about for my wedding day, and she perfectly delivered exactly what I was picturing. I decided to go with hollywood waves for hair and a smokey eye for makeup. And during the weeks up to my wedding, I decided I wanted more of a thicker cat-eye liner since I have monolids and she was very understanding and was able to modify to my new preference the day of.
