Had the best experience ever buying a German shepherd puppy from Kore K9. The first time I called, Krys was so friendly and gave me so much information about the puppies. Krys allowed us to come visit the puppies at 7 in the morning to accommodate our schedule. She also let us come visit the puppies multiple times before we could take one home. She opened up her home to us like she had known us for years. We got to meet the mother of the puppies and she offered for us to meet the father. She has all the information about the blood line. Krys invests so much into her puppies. Ours was basically potty trained the first day we brought her home. I'm beyond pleased with the whole process of getting our dog. I got my Working Line Shepherd from Kore and have been impressed with not only quality of the dog, but how prepared they left us on the day of pickup. When I first heard about their litter I was doing my annual training with the Marine Corps and wasn't readily available. Kore not only allowed me time to make the selection I wanted but also provided a very generous military discount. Kore's door was and is always open throughout the entire process. At Kore K9 there is a genuine interest in the livelihood of the dog and the owner. I'd love to work with them again, would recommend them to anyone, and the product is worth every penny! More...

My wife and I have been researching for a new puppy for months. Just so happened that Carly invited us to visit American K9 grand opening. At that event we met Krys and learned about her golden doodle puppies, a perfect match. The process has been amazing, we picked up King our male puppy the end of June and we are more than excited. we have a new family member who is adorable and we can't wait to bring King along with Bentley our Bichon Frise for training. I am so happy to have found American K9. Krys and her staff are amazing. Professional trainers who obviously love what they do as exhibited by their interactions with my 14 month old Goldendoodle, Sophie. I took Sophie to a training facility in Columbia, Md and paid a lot of money for 0 results and snooty attitudes by the staff.
If you want results, you have to find the professionals. Look no further than American K9. And follow Sophie on their Facebook page in mid August when she will be there for Board and Train.

My husband and I just brought home a baby goldendoodle from Krys and American K9. They happened to have a litter and we jumped on the chance to get her. Krys and her team have so much experience and expertise in training dogs that when our puppy came home she was already very comfortable with her crate, she was already able to sleep 7 hours through the night. I wish we lived closer so we could have our dog trained by Krys but alas we live too far. The store was great too- tons of stuff, definitely a one stop shop. We stocked up! American K9 is by far the best option for all of your training needs. Our dogs had the opportunity to work with both Krys and Adria and the only word I can use to describe the difference between when we dropped them off versus when we picked them up is WOW! When our dogs first went to American K9 they chose when they felt like listening to my husband and I and our one dog was having issues during feeding time with a smaller dog in the house. Both of our dogs were very reactive on the leash and it was honestly very stressful to take them on walks. As bully breeds, they often scare people away in the first place and there is nothing more embarrassing than having them lunge at other dogs and contribute to their already bad rap. After one day with Krys and Addie, Skye was walking loose leash right by her handler's side. We are now able to walk past dogs and they both ignore and continue walking and get to be ambassadors for the breed. It is a huge stress reliever to have two very obedient dogs and fun to show off their new skills! With thousands of dogs trained, they clearly know what they are doing and they know how to do it right. It is one thing to be good at what you do, but even better when you are able to explain it to other people. We worked with Adria during both of our turnover sessions and it was such a pleasure. She was very detailed and did a phenomenal job explaining what we need to do to maintain the solid foundation that they have created. She did not rush our sessions at all and answered every one of our ten million questions. The customer service here is AMAZING. I am still trying to figure out when these girls sleep as they are always so responsive, whether it is 7am or 10pm, they get back to you quick! Another thing that we love about this place is that these women are genuinely great people. We love and admire that they give back to the community and that there is a strong support of our military and first responders. I’m so grateful we found American K9 when we did. A friend was going through similar issues with her dogs, had a great experience and outcome with American K9 and referred us. The sweet Border Collie, Auggie, we rescued just four months prior had turned fear aggressive.

I dreaded walking him because of his unpredictability. We had so much anxiety in the house because he was afraid of and triggered by everything; he thought the microwave wanted to eat him. His world, and as a result, our world, was becoming very, very small.

Going in, we were at the end of our rope. American K9 did three things that changed our world:

1) Gave us tools to help him and us.
2) Came up with solutions we never would have on our own.
3) Provided support during his Board and Train Rehab, trained us for the transition and continue to support us now that he's home.

I’m a Spanish Lady! And very happy to see how welcoming they are. ... they made me feel like is a family right away! I’m a Caretaker and In training to become a Trainer! They love to see you Grow!!!! I’m learning so much in such a short time!!! I have a Husky that I thought he would never be trained... I guess there’s nothing Krys can’t do!

Love how she wants things neat, organized, and specially when it comes to the care of the dogs!!! They love her right away! I been looking for a career that has to do with Dogs and this is what I want... she transfer me LOVE AND PASSION IN THE Training Industry and the Care for the dogs....

There are not enough positive words in the English language for me to use to describe our experience with American K9.

My husband and I have a 4 year old chihuahua terrier mix - adopted from the ASPCA when he was 2 and he is a force to be reckoned with. He was aggressive to the point that we were no longer able to have people over our house. He would bark combatively at the sight of another human, and as they got closer lunge at them. Our dog was taking over our lives, as he only "allowed" my husband and myself in the house. Walking him was a nightmare. We tried EVERYTHING. Our vet prescribed anxiety medicine (as his aggression was all coming from fear), we took him to multiple trainings. Nothing worked. We were lost as to what to do, because we felt that our overall quality of life was being affected by his behavior.

Flash forward to a google search done at our breaking point. We found American K9, and from our first consultation with Krys, we never had a doubt we needed our Comet to go through the training here. Comet went to the two week board and train. We received updates, pictures, and positive feedback the entire time our boy was there. When we went to go pick him up, it was so clear we had made the right decision. The very day we brought him home, we had two friends AND a dog visiting from out of state, and our Comet didn't so much as bat an eyelash at the people OR the dog. We practically had to scrape our jaws off the floor. The most incredible part though - we brought Comet to visit our out of state family for ten days. He was around dogs, CROWDS of people, every situation you can think of - and ZERO problems. I could write all day about his transformation.

We cannot thank Krys and the rest of American K9 enough for what they have done for our family. They treat your dog with compassion and love, but also get the job done in the most incredible way. Great open lines of communication, amazing customer service, and the most reliable and incredible dog trainers. American K9 cares so much about their jobs, their customers, and their dogs, and it is so clear from the very beginning of the process. I really can't say enough about Krys and her team! My GSD has anxiety issues and couldn't do too much beyond the "sit" command. Walking her was a nightmare. After she entered the Board and Train program she learned new commands and walks well enough on a leash that I trust her with my 9 year old. Myles spent a lot of time with her and did a great job. He was professional, knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. He even had my daughter walk through all of the commands the dog learned. Thanks so much to all the folks at American K9!! American K9 is an amazing facility with super knowledgeable and dedicated staff. I had the opportunity to send my 6 month old Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Denny, to participate in their board a train program. If I had any questions while Denny was there, Krys was just a phone call or a text away. They provided me with multiple updates, including pictures and videos of her progress! Now Denny is so much more well behaved it is amazing! They did such a great job, and continue to do so as we come for our follow up training sessions. What I especially like about American K9 is that they are more like extended family for my dog Bruno. Bruno did the Puppy socialization and then board and train. I was worried about leaving him and not knowing how he would be cared for but everything was great. When I picked him up he was happy to show off his obedience and was well cared for. Krys always gets back to me if I have a question or need something. I have boarded Bruno with her multiple times since the board & train and he always comes home happy. My boyfriend and I just got a puppy from Krys and the team at American K9 and feel so honoured to have a dog that came from such an amazing facility.

Krys made the entire process so easy, helped us with ANY questions we had, and always ensured she kept us updated about the puppies. We live in Canada and with the airlines no longer flying puppies, we had to find an alternate way to get him. Krys transported him to us through Aaron at Ridgeside K9 who also helped make our experience incredible!

Asher is 9 weeks old, gorgeous, SO confident, amazing in the vehicle and sleeps 8+ hours through the night in his kennel.

When we adopted our dog Lady, I knew that when we were ready for the next level of training (more than just us) it would be with Krys. I used to work with Krys when she trained Bed Bug dogs for a local pest control company. I saw how effective they were and how much she loved what she did.

We brought Lady to her for board & train earlier this year. We had travel plans and this helped us not have to worry where she would be. I had 100% trust in her to know that Lady would be well taken care of. Krys sent me updates throughout her time in training. Including in the beginning during Lady’s shut down phase. Being a rescue dog from an abuse situation has left some fear in her and she has become very attached to us her owners. She was very anxious when we left her and Krys and her team went above and beyond to build trust with Lady. They helped her to relax and come “to work” in her own time with some guided help- dimly lit private room, aromatherapy, calm voice and sincere love for the job.

During this time we also found out we were pregnant. Which has added to Lady’s protectiveness of us. Krys has been there with us there whole way. Provided encouraging words, follow up trainings and as always - No Bullshit!

We’ll be traveling again this summer and there was never a question where we would be boarding Lady, with American K9. Thanks Krys & team! More...

I don’t really think this place deserves any stars. My husband and i had a horrible experience and after reaching out several times we never received any results. We purchased a dog from this company we were told he was trained House broken crate trained and well in obedience and told he also had all his medical records and shots. We decided to get him because we have 2 little ones and it was going to be easier to have him around them since he was trained that’s why they charged us such a high price compare to other pets stores or breeders. After we took him home we realized that they LIED to us to our faces, he was not trained and the most important of all he did not have some of his shots that were important to his health. we are still keeping him because we fell in love with him but had to spent a lot more more in training and his medical visits when they told us that they were charging extra because he was already trained. I don’t even think that what these people are doing is legal but we will continue with the complaint and we will take LEGAL ACTION. More...

The ladies over at American K9 are just amazing. We are in the process of working to train Mesa to be a service dog for my daughter who is a type 1 diabetic. We purchased Mesa through Krys and are working closely with them every step of the way. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a service dog as well as anyone who needs help training their dog. These ladies definitely work wonders. They are easy to get a hold of and will answer questions you are having even on Sundays.
