My kids love their gymnastics classes. My kid does cartwheels to get places instead of walking half the time. I was honestly a bit skeptical at first but seeing my son develop into a confident and active little guy has been great to watch. AKSC is great!

It's been a few years and I think it fair to give American Kids another chance, and I'm glad I did. The Southwest facility is clean, bright and inviting and Parking is not an issue. Bathrooms were clean  and well supplied. They even had a step stool for little ones to wash their hands independently. Bring water and prepare to go barefooted in the gym. Cubbies were easy to get to: it's well thought out. I took 5 preschoolers, 3 times in the last two weeks, for "gym play date", a 90 minute parent supervised with Staff oversight open gym time. All of the kids loved everything. The coaches were welcoming, friendly, and offered to assist us w equipment and encouraged me to approach them with any questions. The Coaches let us know the rules and what equipment was off limits too. Family Friendly music was a nice touch. When class schedules line up with my availability I look forward to trying gymnastics at the Southwest Facility. I did not go upstairs but it looked like there was adult fitness equipment in a room that overlooks the gym. More...

I just want to take the time to thank the coaches that have been a part of my daughters training at the SW location. My daughter has been going there for approximately 5 years, she is a gymnast and she is very good at what she does. Being a single working mother of 3 sometimes scheduling and pay period doesn't line up and they are always willing to work with me. My daughter started out In mommy and me and is now in level 2. She works hard and her Coach recognizes all her hard work and keeps me updated on her progress. I just want to give a big big thank you to Coach Jordan for all that she does. My daughter loves having her as a coach. We appreciate all that you do for us and can never thank you enough! 3 of my boys have been going to the NW AKSC since September, and to say that we all love it is an under statement! Gymnastics is the highlight of our week, and my younger daughter and older son are so excited to start this fall as well. Coach Tom is a perfect balance of caring and stern, fun and business. My kids have all grown SO much this year, and watching them in Springfest was so cool!! My boys also do Ninja Zone and this program is also so great. We haven’t even started our first year with American Cheer yet (first practice is this week) and already we have been so welcomed and supported. The staff have gone above and beyond to answer any questions and explain, in depth to me, anything I was confused about. We already feel part of the American Cheer family! We just in rolled in dance classes I was looking for something my grand daughter could do while she was in town with me & I thought maybe they had something my daughter could do taking into consideration she is special needs & it's always hard to find something fun for them to do outside of the league of dreams which she is a part of & we do love the program don't get me wrong this place is awesome letting my little girl participate in the dance class with all the other little girls it just filled my heart with joy watching her how she tried to follow along just like everyone else thanks for not discriminating against our children!! My kids have been coming here for swim for a couple months - they are doing so well! The small class size gives much better one on one attention than other public swim programs we have tried. Yet at a decent price. Â My kids just love the warm indoor pool and I love the climate controlled (a/c!!!!) seating area.We have also been here for "parents night out" and several birthday parties and it's always fun!! My 10yr old daughter has attended AKSC here off and on since she was about 4-5yrs old. She started off with swimming and learned quickly, staff was great, they were very patient. She's now back for multiple dance classes. I disagree with the negative reviews. This place is a wonderful community establishment that provides a fun, clean, and safe environment for our youth. They make no promises of making your child a famous star, although if you choose to, they do offer competitive dance, cheer etc...yes a lot of the staff is young and maybe attending college, and good for them. I don't expect them to provide their credentials because I personally and I think most parents will agree, that AKSC provides so much more, like the benefits of participating in a group activity for children and learning how to become part of a team, developing social skills, and it is good exercise. I only gave it four stars because parking is a pain sometimes but that's it. My daughter enjoys AKSC and I appreciate this place. More...
