Alpha Omega Music Studios

I can't recommend this place more. It's laid back and welcoming, and offers lessons for a variety of instruments. I see a lot of kids streaming through, but adults study here too (me, for example). I knew nothing about playing drums when I came in for my free lesson, but Joey immediately got me hooked. He's probably the best instructor I've ever had—in anything. I'm constantly blown away by the breadth and depth of his knowledge, his musicality, and his superlative teaching skills. He's 100 percent devoted to music and to his students, and it shows. I got a bass guitar for my 40th bday and did a free lesson with Daniel. It was great. Very informative. He taught me much about the bass in the first lesson, and has me energized to come back for the next session. The studio was bright, clean, and the employees were friendly and welcoming. I have done several recordings at Alpha Omega Music Studios. They were the most professional, helpful and creative folks I have worked with in a very long time. Ken, the engineer/producer for my sessions, went far beyond just making sure the recordings were of the highest possible quality. Our son has been taking drum lessons for over 3 years; prior to that he took guitar lessons for 4 years and recently started up again on guitar. He really enjoys playing. Ken has been teaching him both guitar and drums; and our son will often practice at home without us having to remind him ;-). He now plays drums for the middle school jazz band. Our daughter, a student at the HS involved with chorus and drama, began voice lessons at Alpha Omega in the past year from Alli. My children and I have been students at Alpha Omega for over 4 years (guitar, drums and voice). It's a great place to learn an appreciation for music and performance (in a low key manner). There are several teachers, and the staff will work with you to find the teacher that suits you best. For my older son, music (in most every form) comes naturally for him and he loves jamming with Ken. My younger son is much more on the shy side and not as confident; however, Ken has brought out his confidence and he really loves to practice and has formed his own band with friends. My son has taken guitar lessons with Ken and voice lessons with Jason. My daughter takes piano with Claudio. They love Alpha Omega and so do I. The individual attention has built confidence over time and creates a supportive space. The rock band camps and jam nights are especially terrific, where the kids get a great opportunity to learn teamwork and how to jam with a group. The teachers show respect, kindness, and positive reinforcement so the kids are always at ease. Ken's generosity and presence in the community show this place is more than a business to him. We did some recording recently for a Christian music cd in studio 4. Both Ken and Phil were very accommodating and easy to work with. They went out of their way to get us into the studio on very short notice. The atmosphere is very laid back and not at all intimidating (and also very reasonably priced). This was important to us since this was our very first studio recording experience. We loved how we were treated so much that we introduced our friends to Alpha and Omega to do some recording as well and they were very pleased. Our band had a fantastic experience recording a (very long) song at Alpha Omega.  Everybody there is super friendly and the engineer, Ken, was great to work with.  He did a great job of quickly understanding what we wanted to accomplish and helped us get there without any wasted time or detours down unproductive rabbit holes.  He seemed to have a great command of his equipment and a good ear so he could dial in the sound you were looking for quickly and make productive suggestions (which isn't always easy when you're working with someone who's coming in cold to your band's music and only has a short time to get what you're after).Very, very affordable too.  We will be back. Amazing! Amazing!! Amazing!!! Our 14yr old son has been taking drum lessons from Ken for a couple years and just a few months ago started with guitar lessons in addition to drums. Every week he can't wait for his next lesson. The Alpha Band program was an awesome way for him to play with other students as a band. Claudio really knows how to teach the students and make learning fun and exciting. Now our 7yr old is following in his big brothers footsteps and taking drum lessons from Ken. My daughter had her birthday party there it was awesome! Ken did a great job of including all of the children and taking all of the work off of me. Not only did the kids get to explore different instruments but they were also able to record songs and take CDs home of their recordings with them. They had so much fun and memories to take home! I have been going here for a few months now and I really like the place! They have multiple lesson rooms. I have a locked time slot so every week I am all set for the same day and time. John is my guitar teacher and he is awesome! Super friendly laid back guy and very knowledgable about the instrument! You pay for the month of lessons up front the first week of the month and if you miss a lesson you schedule a make up day with your instructor. We first discovered Ken at our friend Katie's grad party-he came and helped set up the band and jammed with her and we thought it was so great of him to do that. At the recommendation of our friends the Curtis', we checked out Alpha Omega. My son and I liked the vibe of the store and more importantly we liked Ken-he was attentive, passionate about what he does, my son clicked with him, he's funny, kind, and caring....I would highly recommend Alpha Omega to anyone with a love of music and a desire to find their creative voice in a safe encouraging enviroment!!!
