We are located in Michigan and needed a Knox box at one of our Cincinnati properties. Based on a recommendation we contacted Joe. He was able to work within our time constraints, sent several photos and communicated throughout the process. We will call him again. More...

Highly Recommend!! Kind, considerate and fantastic work. Built a beautiful pergola for our store, installed lighting, bolted our cubbies to the wall, hung pictures, painted our walls and did a number of odds and ends we needed to be done.

Joe and his team are amazingly accommodating and never gave the impression we were asking too much.

As a house flipper who hires out many trades and has been disappointed by so many sub-bar and unprofessional contractors over the years, Joe is a breath of fresh air in this industry. He is so professional, adheres to a projected timeline, has an amazing attention to detail and quality and is really great at custom solutions/built-ins too. I hired Joe to remodel my own bathroom (which was full of multiple custom solutions like a dresser converted to a vanity, a large custom shower niche, etc), and it was stunning. I quickly hired him again to do two massive scale full-home renovations on my investment properties, which also turned out beautifully. As a designer, I often refer him to clients and every single one who has hired him for their own remodels has told me "I will never use another contractor." More...

I have worked with mediocre and bad contractors in the past. But never again. Joe took on a $200k+ renovation in a large historic home and delivered beautiful work with immense professionalism. Reliable contractors are like unicorns. But Joe is one of them. I cannot recommend him enough. More...

We are a small Real Estate investment company focusing on remodeling houses. We hired All Around Joe for our first house in 2013. We were quite pleased with Joe's work and have hired him for six more house remodel projects. The most recent project was in 2018. Projects have ranged from $6,000-$34,000. Their work scope has included painting, plumbing, excavating, basement remodeling (including installng a bathroom), cutting a concrete wall for an egress window, removing interior walls to create open space living, complete Kitchen remodel, and even jacking up a house to replace a rotted sill plate. Joe is a craftsman, is honest, has really good ideas and is our "go to" contractor. More...

We had a list of household projects that included bead board installation, deck repair, light fixture replacement, and the painting of bead board, hallways, ceilings, stairwells and ceilings.
The work done by Joe's people was excellent. Every item on our request list was completed to my total satisfaction.
The workers arrived on time, behaved professionally, made suggestions that would yield a better result, and left the house absolutely clean.
My wife and I seriously thought that there were no good painters left in the city, but Joe's people did an outstanding job and impressed us with the result.
I had to wait a few weeks to get on Joe's schedule, but the wait was well worth it.
I look forward to having Joe renovate my bathroom in the near future.

I had an egress window installed. Joe and his crew showed up when they said they would, did the job like they said they would, charged what they quoted in the beginning, and I completely trusted the whole crew. Those are the most important things to me and I was not let down. Thank you to Joe and his crew. More...

"All Around Joe" did a great job and went above and beyond with communication and small additional fixes that were not part of original estimate. We have a victorian style home and they replaced the porch railings which are critical to curb appeal and character of the house. Their attention to detail was superb! I would highly recommend them. If I could give him 10 stars I would. I live in a Log home and used Joe to recreate a bathroom fitting for a cabin. He was able to take a vision I had of a rustic look and create a bathroom of my dreams. He and his team spent about 3 weeks on the project and were professional, considerate and trustworthy. He made a point of keeping the dust and debris to a minimum and removed all demolition scraps daily. His workmanship is excellent and he went above and beyond to satisfy any plan changes I may have come up with along the way. The end result is a beautiful rustic cabin bathroom that I will enjoy for a long time. I highly recommend him for any work you may need done, you won't be disappointed! More...

I had a number of interior doors that did not close properly that needed to be fixed. Also, trim needed to be added around a kitchen island. One side of the island had tile (with a raised portion) and the other sides had drywall.

Joe, the owner, promptly returned my call requesting an estimate and showed up on time as promised. He inspected each door and came up with a couple of possible solutions for installing the trim. We made a date for him to return with a helper to complete the job. Before the date of service, he texted me pictures of the trim to make sure I liked the design and he had it painted before he arrived to install. Joe brought Brandon on the day of service. I was very pleased with the job they performed. The trim turned out beautiful, and because there was some time left, they fixed two additional doors that had issues. Joe and Brandon were respectful and very pleasant to deal with. They were also amenable to wearing shoe covers in the house, which was greatly appreciated. I would definitely hire All Around Joe again!

All Around Joe and his crews did a great job in building out a veterinary clinic and office space for lease. This is my third experience working with Joe, and second experience with John and Darren, two members of his crews. As usual, the experience was as good as I had come to expect.
The walls had gotten moisture behind them and had to be demolished, new insulation and cement board installed, retiled, etc. Joe even created a very nice design in the tile which compliments the rest of the existing room. Lovely. The project was slated for five days, and it was right on schedule. We had leftover paint from the bathroom, and they did touch up for me. The price mentioned above included the new shower head, tub drain, and the tiles. But this is what I appreciated the most:
We have one full bathroom on our second floor, and a toilet & shower head in the basement. Everyday, before they left, they made sure that the work area in the full bathroom was cleaned up enough so that we could use it in the middle of the night. They made what is by nature, a very disruptive experience, into a very manageable one.
Thanks again, and I've already started my Spring list. I mean, it never ends does it?

Member Comments:
When Joe first came to bid the job, I appreciated that he was asking questions, sharing ideas, etc. You could tell he was thinking about things in more detail than I saw w/ others that bid the job.

I chose Joe in part because I like working directly with the person doing the work, versus hiring a general contracting company that just subs things out. Joe has a few employees that provide assistance, but he was on site 99% of the time and he was the guy doing the critical tasks. Joe did sub out the electrical work for my job, which was my preference. But he owned that relationship and made sure things were done to our satisfaction.

Our home is a difficult one. It's 110+ years old, which means walls are wavy, floors are crooked, etc.. This required extra effort and Joe invested that effort.

I'm a detail oriented person myself. And I felt like Joe did a good job paying attention to details. He read my personality and was quick to call me in for consultation when there were decisions to be made. But I also think if I had been a hands off type of guy, he would have done great just making the decisions himself and delivering a great end product.

Joe was always punctual and showed up when he said he'd show up. If he was going to be 10 minutes late, he texted me to let me know.

Joe left the job site in clean and orderly condition at the end of each day.

When there were small problems (which are inevitable in any project), he took ownership. For example, one of the original, natural wood door casing was a little scratched up after demolition work. I pointed it out to Joe and he didn't hesitate to agree to make necessary repairs.
Would definitely recommend Joe and hire him again.

My husband and I are both retired and have a small business rehabbing homes. Joe worked
on 1 rehab and then did repairs on another rental. The last home we did was the largest undertaking yet. Joe and his crew finished a basement which also included adding a
full bath. They upgraded a porch, kitchen and painted the entire interior. Joe is patient, a good listener and offers creative solutions to problem areas. He is knowledgeable about
construction, pays attention to detail and is especially talented with finished carpentry work.
The home sold the first month on the market and the buyer's agent said it was one of the best remodels he had seen.
