TGFT: THANK GOD FOR THERAPY! Before I started my ongoing work with Dr. Trules, my previous experience with seeking out help for mental health was disheartening and unconnected. In our initial session, she fostered a safe space for me to truly be honest about my personal history- something that I could not find before. I left knowing that Alison would willingly hold my burdens and work with me to find a sense of wholeness and balance in my life. What do you love most about your job?
My work gives me a sense of purpose and meaning in that I help make the workd a better place by relieving suffering. I have always connected easily with others and my work makes use of my natural gifts. All of my clients have unique stories based upon their histories and I find each person fascinating and interesting. I feel privileged that my clients trust me enough to let me into their lives, minds and hearts.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started my own business because I wanted to manage my own schedule while I had two young children at home. I have had my own private practice for 36 years in the San Francisco Bay Area where there are many psychotherapists and have been lucky enough to keep my practice strong and successful.
Why should our clients choose you?
Your clients should choose me because I am a warm, caring and deeply empathic person who has hope that every client has the capacity to change. I bring my warmth and humor into each session and my clients find me an easy person to open up with. In addition, I have many years of training and bring this expertise into every session with my clients.
Psychotherapy
I offer both Individual therapy and couples therapy. I have been a licensed clinician in California since 1983! I have many years of training, clinical experience and the wisdom that comes from being in practice for many years. I have a warm and supportive style and have the ability to connect deeply with others.
