What do you love most about your job?
I love coming along side my clients and being a part of their personal and/or professional journey. It is intoxicating to see them getting more out of their life and achieving more. I got into coaching because I like the taking action and learning process that my clients go through. I always wanted to help people in the area of personal growth, but the idea of becoming a psychotherapist or something sounded pretty heavy to me because people can be very fragile at this point. Coaching is exactly what I was looking for in how I wanted to help people grow. It is so nice to see people reaching and growing to their full potential and embracing all that life is offering them in the moment. Good or bad, my clients are taking it all and turning it into opportunity to move along!
What inspired you to start your own business?
As cliche as it sounds, I want to make a difference. Coaching is my avenue. One client or group at a time! My main inspiration was in my own personal journey. I had gone to therapy and sought the healing/grieving I needed to face so I could move forward and I found myself saying, "Ok, my heart is healed. I made it through these issues of pain. Why do I still feel stuck?" This whole thing baffled me because I thought that once I got over the issues of my past, I would be able to run and embrace life with abandon. Wrong.
So, I hired a Life Coach and it was a gamechanger! I made more progress in areas of my life that I never thought was possible. The coaching process helped me specifically in identifying my core values and priorities. This process allowed me to make decisions a lot faster and increase my decisiveness. The whole coaching experience made me realize that there needs to be more coaches in the world to help you guys get unstuck! So, I started working on my coursework and it has lead me to today....
