Place is overwhelming, especially coming from a small gym like planet fitness, lots of things to do at AFC. Prices are much higher at AFC that’s because of the amount of things you can do. I needed Child care they have it just $5 more each visit. Everyone seems friendly enough and are willing to help if you ask.Now I read many comments about canceling or 1 month free trial. Seems like many did not read or ask many questions before accepting the terms. After the free month you lose all promotion discounts and would have to pay the full price for the entry fee depending on the package. Which is a bummer because you would like to get those discounts.If you are a student you get a discountIf you go while they have a promo and wish to be a member then don’t get the free trial.My fee was $50 and $110 for each month after (2 people) (not including childcare) Price was reasonable for me. I use to love coming here. But due to the government shutdown I was the only one working. I told them my situation n also found myself having to move to be able to afford a place. I spoke with Omar he would speak to his manager to see what could be arranged. He told me I would not get penalized for a 5 to 6 months due to my circumstance. Now I'm getting hit with automatic payments. Thanks for not honoring your word and killing my credit card. I wish I was given a heads up so I could ask my family to assist me. Despite the government still coming back on it has negatively impacted us and were still catching up as well as moving. Being honorable is no longer a trait that aqua fitness center cares for as long as they get paid.(UPDATE- The manager was able to fix the problem.) More...

Have been a member for several years. Gym has undergone transformation including locker rooms and fitness floor. Front desk staff would benefit from customer service training as they can seem irritated at times. Love this gym community, the people working at this facility are the best, as a disabled Veteran, I've been in some hell holes overseas, the staff is always ready to listen and help with any questions, I've read some of the negative comments about this facility, so let me say to the people who say they had a poor experience, I want to know when you find this unicorn gym your looking for, and I'll still put AFC up against your perfect gym any day...HOORAH.

I've been a member of AFC for 5+ years and never had a complaint! It seems that negative reviews are of people who have never had to experience memberships with any gym facility, period. Unfortunately, certain things are true of the industry, not necessarily AFC! The price of AFC and location is GREAT! Also, all staff is incredibly friendly. I love this place. I have been a member since this past November and couldn't be happier with it. The previous four years I've been a member at 4 other gyms that I just didn't enjoy. Finally I decided to pay the extra money for AFC and wish I had done so sooner. The staff is great, everything works and the members are friendly. People look out for one another here. There are expert lifters who offer advice on proper technique to the less experienced like myself. There are runners, inexperienced people and people just trying to get back in shape. And no one judge's anyone aside from offering helpful advice. For me, top to bottom this is a great experience. I could go on and on about this place. More...

Not only I do love AFC Jenkintown but my 2 little ones (2and 4 years) love it too (they love the daycare). I should say that sometimes my 2 years old is the one sending me to the gym by saying "mommy we going to AFC?
".
I just need to keep being motivated because when you don't go for a while it's kinda hard getting back on track.
