I can't begin to say enough good things about A Sound Decision. If I could rate them higher than 5-stars, I would! These guys are professional, efficient, fun, and know how to keep the party going! I also have to mention that they are an amazing value that fit right into our wedding budget.

I booked this DJ service for my wedding, and they had people out on the dance floor all night long. Several guests told me that they have never danced so much at a wedding! Bill and John did an amazing job putting together a playlist based on our music preferences, and even played all of the songs that our guests requested.

When my husband and I first arrived at our reception, we were feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the of emotions, attention, and events throughout the day. Bill and John introduced themselves, made us feel calm, and even went and got us each a beer! This is just a simple example to show how attentive and thoughtful they are, and how A Sound Decision goes above and beyond just playing great music.

They were awesome! My husband and I are huge metal heads and old hip hop junkies! We had a huge range of different music and A Sound Decision was so accommodating to all of our music needs! Kerry was an absolutely fantastic DJ for our small, Saturday-afternoon wedding. We wanted a chill, laid-back vibe with a DJ that would engage the audience in a less-than-cheesy DJ way. Kerry gave us exactly that and was able to incorporate my husband's and my Chicago Bears colors.

We couldn't have asked for anything more, our guests raved about the little details (even offbeat song requests) that made our reception so great. We changed things at the last minute and Kerry was so accommodating and didn't miss a beat.

The service was professional and timely, but with an incredibly personal and friendly touch that you just do NOT get with some of the much larger DJ companies that were recommended to me and that I met with at length. Kerry and Bill definitely provided that very personal and caring service we looked for in all of our vendors.

Bill was amazing from the beginning. It's never easy choosing vendors, especially when planning a wedding in less than 6 months from another state. Bill not only made the DJ process seamless, but he also helped recommend other vendors that I still needed. He has a ton of experience & was always available when I had questions or concerns. He was so helpful the night of the wedding too! We got married on one of the hottest days in Indiana in years (go figure), so it was uncomfortably warm for our guests and the bridal party pretty much the entire night. He made sure we always had a drink in our hand and kept checking in with us to make sure we were having a good time. Our family and friends loved his music and energy. I cannot begin to express the gratitude I have for Bill and John for there amazing work they did! They worked with myself (Planner/Coordinater) and the two grooms from the very beginning making sure we had everything we needed to make it special. Any question I had, they were there within an hour answering it. The music selection was superb and exactly what the grooms wanted for their night. The were professional, and also very personable. Everytime an issue was thrown at them they handled it without a blink of an eye. They kept the reception and the party going. Without Bill and John it would not had been as wonderful of a ceremony and reception as it was. We hired Bill as he came recommended by our coordinator and although he was not available due to health reasons when our event got nearer, his associate, John met with us prior to the big day, went through our music requests and promised they would not disappoint. DJ John kept the dance floor full, asked me personally for approval when any requests were made, and even offered (and brought) drinks to our head table while we were having dinner. We added uplighting from our DJ service as well, and it added more ambiance. We would have given this company an even better rating if the communication would have been just a little more frequent. WOW! What an incredible DJ, and a wonderful man. Bill from A Sound Decision was recommended to us by our venue. When we were reviewing all the vendors and trying to determine who to choose, Bill stood out among the rest. He had so many outstanding reviews from happy clients and he came such highly recommended by our venue that it was an easy choice. Little did we know it was one of the best choices we could have made. Bill went out of his way to make sure we were completely satisfied with our service. He was patient while we asked a dozen questions and changed our minds on music a dozen times leading up to the wedding, and on the day of the wedding he made sure we were comfortable and happy all night. An example of just how wonderful this man is - while we were standing outside in the heat taking picture after picture after picture, he took the time to bring us some water. It was such a small thing, but it truly meant the world to us in that moment. He stuck to our music choices, he gave us a few surprises during the reception (including a rendition of Piano Man that was so good I honestly didn’t realize it was him singing until about halfway through!) and made the entire night so much fun. Our guests all loved him, and I’ve never been to a wedding where so many people were on the dance floor dancing all night. I wish there were more adjectives in the English language that I could use to convey just how happy we were with Bill and A Sound Decision. Music is such a huge part of the wedding, and you don’t want to leave anything up to chance. You will not be disappointed with Bill. It’s impossible to be, he comes such highly regarded for a reason.

We were overall pleased with the music selection both at dinner and during the reception. However, we did feel like we were getting a weird vibe during the evening. At times things felt a bit chaotic and uncoordinated. We had a large wedding party which can be difficult to organize, but it felt like he was getting frustrated with everyone. Bill and John were absolutely wonderful! They were flexible with announcing our bridal party since we had a last minute change and they played all of the most important songs that we requested. They were friendly and accommodating the entire night; they checked in on us throughout our reception to make sure everything was going well for us. We were told by our family that they were even helpful during clean-up once the reception had ended and went the extra mile to make sure they didn't leave anything behind. The uplighting they set up was beautiful and matched the shade of blue that was incorporated into our wedding colors. James and I planned this wedding in less than a month! Found Bill within days of our decision to get married in a few short weeks. Bill answered quickly! Even late at night. He was accommodating and made the whole process less stressful. When the Wedding Day finally came, Bill was there early and ran through everything with us. You would be hard pressed to find a better deal in the Chicagoland area. I was delighted to witness two events DJ'd by ASD DJ service, the first my friend's wedding last October and my own this year. His process for music selection was very thorough, completely digital, and easy to navigate. My wife and I had a handful of song requests for dances and introductions clips, and each one was accommodated.

Looking through the other user reviews, my advice is the same working with anyone in a creative field: trust their expertise. A Sound Decision DJ Service deserves more than a five star rating! Bill and his crew were fantastic! They were great to work with leading up to the reception. He has an excellent system set in place, with documents where you fill in information such as your grand entrance and line up, songs for your special dances, and much more. Once you email it back, you can literally forget about everything until you show up on your big day. However, they are great at communicating and keep in touch with you!

I showed up to my reception almost late, and Bill and his partner already has my bridal party lined up and ready for the grand entrance. The rest of the night went so smoothly! All the equipment worked flawlessly the whole evening. On top of this, the music was phenomenal! Songs I requested beforehand were played. Bill and his partner kept the dance floor a party the whole night! People loved it! He kept picking great songs and read the crowd so well!
