Sports Academy

This place is outstanding! They offer many great services from sports conditioning to body rehab. But as a local resident to the recent fires, I can't speak highly enough for the community support they have offered. They not only offered free kids camps due to all the local school closures but they also organized a donation center to support the fire victims! They truly are a huge support to our community not only for disaster reliefs but also a huge supporter for local sporting communities. More...

I sent my kids to this camp this summer and they had the most amazing time. From the staff to the directors I was really impressed. The facilities were also really nice and I felt like it was organized from the get go. My kids knew exactly what was going on and what to expect. Brrrr!!  Just tried CRYOTHERAPY for the first time -- what an exhilarating experience!Been hearing about famous athletes using EXTREME COLD THERAPY and was curious to try it myself.  Purchased a discount voucher and scheduled an appointment.  Plenty of availability since the visit only takes about 15 minutes.  Walk-ins are also welcomed.In a nutshell, your body is exposed to a couple minutes of subzero temperature.  Benefits are purported to include:- increased energy- reduced inflammation- decreased fatigue - lessened effects from various types of arthritis- improved joint functionPROCESS = After signing a waiver, you are given complimentary robes and sandals.  Note you must be completely dry before stepping into the chamber, which looks like a futuristic time machine.  Your head stays exposed above the chamber -- you're only in there 2 to 3 minutes and an employee is present the whole time.  THE TEMPERATURE WENT DOWN TO ALMOST MINUS 260°F.   If you're ever uncomfortable and have to stop immediately, the chamber door is easily pushed open.  RESULT = The best way to describe the sensation afterwards is a temporary WHOLE BODY EUPHORIA.Location is near the corner of Rancho Conejo Blvd & Ventu Park Rd, across the street from Amgen. Its hard to describe this mecca of sports facility.  There almost 100,000 square feet of sporting activities. I really love the sports medical clinic and using all of their resources to keep my body healthy.

First class facility with a super friendly and helpful staff.  I only use it for the fitness and yoga classes, which are perfect for all levels. If you check it out, be sure to take a yoga class with Heidi who is at the top of her game, but so far I've been impressed by all the instructors -- you really can't go wrong.  My other favorite is the HIIT Cycling class with Debi. She knows how to balance just the right amount of fun with intensity. A great workout! Also, I saw a lot of negative comments about the parking, but they don't charge for parking if you're a member -- only if you're there for the frequent basketball and volleyball tournaments.  I also hate paying for parking at my kids games, so I get the anger, but I guess that's the norm now, unfortunately. Regardless, they're clearly investing a lot of money in the facility, so at least it's somewhat worth it, IMO. More...

This place is AMAZING!  Great and super friendly staff, state of the art equipment and pros that make a difference in child's athletic development.  Every city/state needs this type of environment.  We started going to SA since October right after they opened the facility.  My whole family fell in love with this place.  It is a long drive for us from Studio City but it is well worth it!  My child is in training 3-4 times a week and loves every minute of it! She trains with the top notch pros and accomplished athlete. There are always smiles and anticipation to a great work out.  I have never heard the words "I don't want to go" but instead I hear "I can't wait to get there"...So they are doing something right.  She works out with a trainer before practice 1-2 times a week.   I get a massage once a week.  At first the massage rooms were in the physical therapy center. I could hear the music coming out from the gym but it did not bother me as much - because I knew what to expect as I didn't enter Four Seasons Spa, massage parlor but sports facility.  We always look at the big picture.My goal was to get my body fixed with deep tissue massage and my therapist Greg was a solid 6 STARS - As good as it gets!  The noise is no longer a problem.  They have build a separate area on the other side by the beach courts and they have two quiet rooms in the back.  What is even better is that when we get there early we book a tutor before each test and quiz and the results in math are astounding!  I tried CQD to better understand skills to protect myself - It was a really one of a kind experience!  I have tried Yoga, Pilates, Gym, Physical Therapy and recently Somadome (meditation dome) which is my favorite.  This place is like a second home and it rocks! After reading a review about poor treatment and the staff, it made me want to share my own experience. Now just so people can have an idea of my medical history, I have had 5 knee surgeries. My 4th surgery was in December and it was a meniscus transplant through a cadaver or a donor piece of cartilage for those who may not know. My 5th surgery was a clean up because a suture inside Of my knee that is holding my cadaver in place ripped when I took a bad step at home. Being that I have been an athlete for many years, I've been in and out of physical therapy facilities since I started high school. At those locations I wouldn't always reach full health or feel confident after treatment. I started working with Dr. Beau at Sports Academy in October of 2016 to do some pre hab therapy prior to my meniscus transplant. In the two months of my prep I gained strength and flexibility in my legs as well as confidence which was crucial for the procedure to be smooth. Since I started coming to Sports Academy not only have I improved physically, but mentally as well. The entire team makes you feel at home and their attention to detail makes them unlike any other facility. If an exercise hurts or causes anything out of the normal, they adjust to my needs or completely cut it out of the regimen until I am ready to go back to it. The doctors care about their patients and only want what's best for them. In January of this year I started working with Dr. Stephanie for my post operative rehab and she has been just as great and always makes sure I do everything properly and if not she will take the time to show me how and explain in detail why it is that I have to do those exercises. Everyone in the facility makes you feel very comfortable and they are always checking on you. Which was something I wasn't used to at any other facility. Sometimes I would have to wait forever and wouldn't see my doctor until after my workouts were done. But here at Sports Academy you have your doctors checking on you as well as the team of assistants and even management asking to make sure that you are being taken care of properly. Things as simple as scheduling an appointment or reaching someone in the office is very easy as well. I can honestly say that I have found a second home and will continue coming to Sports Academy for any treatment I will ever need. I recommend this place to anyone looking to be treated by not only some of the best doctors in the area but in California as well. More...

Sports Academy is an impressive complex with first class trainers! Chelsea and Jake are amazing trainers.  They teach a Youth Endurance Class which my boys attend weekly. It's a complete body workout; with a different focus every week. They keep the kids moving for the full 60 min. More...

Sports Academy has been an amazing experience. From the moment I brought my daughter there to check out the facility and there programs. The staff has been very kind and accommodating.  My child is 7 years old and attends there soccer/futsal clinics. Her classes are taught by Miguel Sanchez, and he is really doing a great job with her. He seems to be very focused on pushing her and helping her grow as a player. I couldn't be more happy with him. I had an opportunity to speak with the director of the soccer programs (Jayro Martinez). He seems very sincere and dedicated to making this experience very impactful and positive on my daughter. I appreciate the wonderful service and awesome work they've done with my child.  Also the people at the front desk are very helpful.  Heck even the lady vacuuming took the time to say hi to me and my other child.  First class Facility and Faculty!!!
