They had a wide variety of oysters with different prices. Having grown up on Tampa Bay where you could buy a bucket full of oysters cheap it was a little bit of a sticker shock for me. Ask for Scooby's it's amazing.. it's not on the menu.. it's crab claws in this delicious garlic sauce.. I ordered 2 and the price got me at the end. . but it was worth it. Thanks to G&Bs, I now like oysters! I love coming here and trying the new oysters on the menu. Everything seems to be super freshly made with some rotating limited quantity specialties like the paella. I've only ever sat in the bar area and not the main restaurant, but the is a great place to come have a drink and meet up with some friends over delicious food. And try the scooby snacks (not on the menu, crab claws in a bath of garlic deliciousness) you won't be disappointed! More...

We started at Vincent's restaurant in LBTS for oysters, but when the owners wife started giving me attitude about not knowing about their "oyster club", we bolted. At G&B Oyster Bar, we started with a variety of oysters. They were very fresh and nicely presented! All of the bartenders (actually the entire staff) were very friendly. They are, after all, part of the Be Nice restaurant group and they live up to their name! We also had the Snapper special with Artichoke Cream and Alligator Ribs, which were both perfectly prepared and delicious. It was also a treat to see our old friend Anthony Latini, the best food and beverage professional in the world, whom we've known a long time and has been a G&B staff member for quite awhile. Thanks again, Anthony, Chris, Allison, and Andrew the Manager for turning a bad experience at one poorly run establishment into a memorable one at G&B. We will definitely be back! More...

Great food , great service . Walked in with a party of 11 just 45 minutes before closing and got the royal treatment . We actually felt bad for showing up so late , but never did they make us feel like we had ruined anyone’s day . In fact our waitress was patient and kind , took the time to go over every special in detail . Had a steak with coconut shrimp and some Rockefeller oysters . We all left very full and satisfied . Cool, seat yourself oyster bar directly connected to Coconuts restaurant (that one has Host service). Had some Old Salt oysters (from VA) and some of the clams (from FL) to start. They were very good. Exceptionally bright and just the right brine to sweetness. Afterwards, ordered the Portuguese Sardines. While probably not to everyone’s tastes, they were very good. Finished with the smoked Alligator Ribs. This is a unique and enjoyable item. My only criticism is, due to dietary restrictions, I asked for other options to the accompanying items with the sardines. The server offered to sub them out, however, when I received my bill, I had been charged full price for an additional side (vs subbing the items). Staff was friendly and low-pressure. More...
