What inspired you to start your own business?
Herby Duverné is Principal & CEO of Windwalker Group. He is responsible for the firm’s strategic planning, financial growth, execution planning and management processes. Mr. Duverné is a proven thought leader, problem solver, planner, and skilled security, safety, emergency management, and investigations professional.
Mr. Duverné has held previous positions as Director of Emergency Management and Deputy Director of Aviation Security at the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), where he directed the development, implementation, management, and administration of Massport’s Emergency Management Planning programs. He also oversaw the coordination, training, and exercise planning for all emergency response programs and interacted with other emergency managers at the federal, state, and local levels. Before Massport, Mr. Duverné held the position of Regional Security Manager at State Street Corporation, overseeing on-site security at six corporate buildings in Massachusetts. While there, Mr. Duverné also managed State Street’s security control center in Quincy, MA, and the global operations of the badging system.
Mr. Duverné’s security leadership has helped secure some of the nation’s most sensitive infrastructure, contributing to Logan Airport being named “One of the safest airports in the country” by The Boston Globe in 2010, and “One of the best, most secure airports in the country” by then-acting Transportation Security Administration administrator John Pistole.

Guards are taught the proper body substance isolation procedures and are trained to wear their masks, if required by the client or local protocol.
