Dog Training

WOW ...is really the only thing I can say. Lynsey, the trainer, is amazing and our life has changed after our big baby Peaches was in her care for three weeks for obedience training. She had her trained with a whisper and it was freaking incredible considering the wild child we dropped off. We take her advice on at home care very seriously and appreciate all of her great experience and knowledge. Thank you Lynsey! Peaches, Lavelle, and I are very grateful! Oh, our little man Vegas loves his new big little sister. : ) More...

I adored working with Peaches, and I must say, she's as awesome as she is because her owner Lorretta is a badass! <3 So proud of her for working so hard with Peaches.

The trainer explained every element of her training process and encouraged me to ask questions. She provided candid responses and offered to provide additional guidance via phone or personal visit.

Dog Training

We just had our first session with Lynsey and we thought she was awesome. She arrived on time, was professional , and gave us great advice. She had our dog Elvis walking beside her slowly and attentively in no time at all. We are excited to meet with her again next week. More...

Dog Training

UPDATED REVIEW
When I first met with Lynsey, I thought she was well informed and I hoped that her training methods would help with the issues I was having. ..Unfortunately when I did implement her methods (throwing a tightly wrapped towel at her head) which I though was peculiar when she told me about it, but she was the trainer and I have 160lb dog...
This method is a horrible way to train a dog...throwing anything at a dogs head should have been a red flag but I didnt know any better... I discussed this with my breeder who is also an English Mastiff trainer...and she was horrified by the practice...she gave the example of a man slapping a woman when he thought she did something wrong...and being I would never ever slap a woman, a light bulb went on which told me not to use this method...it actually had a negative effect on my dog where she got depressed and regressed where she would go into a room and hide for hours...
I stopped throwing a towel at my dogs head obviously (I did so only twice) If you dont think the method of throwing a towel at a dogs head is ok with you then maybe this trainer is perfect for you...if you do have an issue with this...then maybe look for another trainer...
Lynsey is very arrogant and thinks her methods work...and cant be told otherwise...she defends her methods...and sees nothing wrong with what she does...good luck to all that choose to use her

Hi Scott, thanks for leaving us a review. During our in person session, you discussed with me about how you use the remote collar to shock your dog when she doesn't listen to you. I advised on the proper application of the tool and then we discussed what I was hired for - how to stop your 160 pound dog from growling at you. I explained the proper application of punishment when a dog displays a dangerous, unwanted behavior. I discussed using a rolled up cotton towel, a pet convincer air spray, the remote collar, and a squirt bottle. At no point during our training did you indicate that you were uncomfortable with what we discussed. I provided verbal and written instructions for you to have a better life with your dog. You then communicated to me that you were unable to follow the instruction of keeping your dog kenneled while she was unattended because you did not have the space to do so. During our phone call, you yelled at me and I attempted to talk, but was consistently interrupted. During this phone call, you also told me that you hit your dog. I immediately advised against that and went over once more how to properly and safely correct a dog when they display a dangerous unwanted behavior. I responded to your emails and issued your refund despite our no refund policy and despite the fact that you threatened me with a negative review. You also indicated that your situation is better and you adhered to some of the instructions we gave, which worked for you. We find it interesting that a fair and properly applied punisher is not okay, but to you, hitting your dog is. We wish you luck with your dog.

Dog Training

Lynsey worked with me and my dog and taught me how to stop the issue I was having...and so far it is working
She left the door open to allow me to call and also offered further training and to allow me to put the costs I already paid towards further training...

Q&As

The best part about training dogs is watching their owners transform with them! I love to help people and it's amazing to see a family transition from chaos to calmness when we work together.

I adopted a bad dog! It started there. When several veterinarians told me to put my dog down because he was too aggressive, I didn't feel right about it and sought out other professional advice. I met a group of trainers that were dedicated to changing the lives of people that had difficult dogs. They gave me the guidance I needed to rehab my own dog! We've been learning and growing together ever since and leap at every opportunity to attend helpful seminars and share what we've learned.

I've been working with dogs since I was 15 years old. I started volunteering at an animal shelter in my home town in New England. When I turned 18, I was given a kennel technician position and I quickly became the go-to gal for handling the big dogs that most of the other staff were nervous about. I've always been drawn to the dogs that give people a harder time. Realizing that I was skilled in changing these dogs was a pivotal point in my animal care career. Once I learned that I could help change the lives of other dogs and their owners, I made a promise to myself that I would never stop trying to do just that!

If you've tried everything else and just can't seem to find a solution, we'll work with you to find something that works! I provide honest feedback AND I'll show you exactly how our training protocols are done. Dog training is not a secret. My goal is that once you work with me, you'll never need to hire a trainer for your dog problems again - not because you'll have me, but because I'll teach YOU how to train your dog yourself! I'll empower you to solve your problems, and if you need help, I'll be with you every step of the way.

We are able to provide our services virtually so that you can work with your dog in the safety and comfort of your own home! :) Our online courses have become incredibly popular and we're finding that with the right guidance, dog owners can do anything, even without the trainer right there beside them!

We have changed the way we do our paperwork and now provide contactless paperwork and payment options. During one-on-one trainings, we will wear a mask if requested and maintain a safe distance while working together to accomplish your goals. We ask that folks that are ill reschedule their sessions.

For dogs coming to us for board and train programs, we ask that the dog is kept away from other animals not in your home for 2 weeks prior to the start of their program. Any illnesses will be reported to the owners immediately so that arrangements can be made to pick training up again once dogs and humans feel better!

Services

Our Private one-on-one programs are designed to address your biggest concerns with your dog first and work through teaching the basics. We come to you and train in the comfort of your own home or can meet virtually if that's your preference.

We can address problem behaviors such as jumping, getting into the trash, counter surfing, rushing doors and fences, guarding resources (toys, food, people, etc.), humping, erratic tail chasing, and potty training.

These programs are for dogs of any age or skill level. No dog is too old or too young to start training! :)

Average one/one program cost is $1899.

Our training consultations can help you determine what service will benefit your household the most. Consults are designed to teach dog owners how to create massive amounts of structure in their home. We require training consultations in households with more than two dogs or households with dogs that have more serious issues. An in-person consultation is $350 and this fee is applied to a board & train program if you choose to move forward.

Too far from our location? No worries! I can help you through a video or call and deliver information just as I would in person. You can send me information about your dog including photos and videos of behavior before our session. This will give me an idea of what we're dealing with. Then we can build a plan to help you with what you're struggling with. I'll support you every step of the way! Our virtual programs range from $500 to $2899 and can be self guided or one/one video calls.

Our boarding programs are customized to fit the needs of your individual dog and your lifestyle. From our 3 week Obedience Camp to our 12 Month Complete Lifestyle Overhaul Plan, we've got you covered. Whether you want your dog to learn the basics, or you want someone to help you manage every aspect of the first year you have your dog - we have a program for you.

All programs give you access to our private Facebook Group, the tools we use to train, and private lessons to teach YOU how to manage the training your dog has received while boarding with us. Our Off-Leash and Behavior Modification Programs include a wellness plan and bonus training sessions with us so you can continue your dog's education throughout his/her lifetime.

Immersive Board & Train Program cost is typically between $3,500-$6200. The average cost of a board and train program is $4200 for dogs with no aggression issues.
