What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Developing and honest rapport with a sense of trust, along with learning what I can about the clients, their image needs and uses, all allow me the best outcomes for the final images.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I love to learn about what the client's business is before taking their photos. Do they need to reveal a sense of confidence, a friendly profile or maybe even a dramatic gritty final image. I want you to get the image that will really tell the best story for you and your needs. Even if it's a family, I like to learn the dynamics...who gets the photo in the end? Is it for mom, dad, grandma, or for their Holiday card. These answers all make a difference in how I strive to get the right shot.
What do you love most about your job?
Meeting new people & seeing them in ways they might never feel seen...makes being a photographer feel very rewarding. Plus, it can be incredibly empowering for clients to see themselves in strong photos. I love what I do!
What inspired you to start your own business?
After years of helping other companies build and brand themselves, I decided to leave my prior career of 11 years and start my own business. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs', it felt like a completely natural - even if scary - starting my own business.
Why should our clients choose you?
Many of my clients say that what they loved most about working with me, time and again, is that I make them feel at ease and love that I provide them with direction and posing suggestions to make them look their very best. Many say the experience in the studio has been a grounding life changing experience...that they really felt "seen". This is my greatest compliment!
