My brother and I hired David to make a Legacy Video of our parents’ lives. They are in their 90’s and he made it so easy. He came to my brother’s house, set everything up and went the extra mile with his editing . David from Legacy Videos was a savior for our wedding ceremony. We had a little bit of a non-traditional wedding on the bluff of Torrey Pines Nature preserve. What do you love most about your job?
I’m living the American dream. I am my own boss. I’m doing work I truly enjoy. I get to meet and to know a lot of people in different walks of life. I still get time to spend with my family and to be on the basketball court (I just have to schedule it around your events).
What inspired you to start your own business?
My grandfather was born in Sweden and came to America, virtually penniless at age 17. He went to school to learn to be a craftsman. I, and all my relatives, have grown up using the furniture he made by hand, and enjoying his oil paintings and pastels on our walls. Now I consider myself a modern day craftsman, but my tools are cameras and computers. I have created many heirlooms for my family, and many, many more for my clients. The beauty of video today, is it can be copied easily, and shared immediately with all your relatives. I particularly enjoy creating what I call Personal History Videos. These often turn out to be “Coming to America” stories, like my grandfather’s.

Legacy Videos offers high quality video services at reasonable rates. We are reliable and experienced. We will use as many cameras as you need, and will always capture good audio for your video. We will capture all the essential parts of your event, and the little details that will help tell your story. We generally spend far more time editing your video than we spend filming, but you may order just the raw video if you prefer.

Most of our work is within San Diego County and we prefer to interact in person. We have, however, recorded phone calls and Zoom events and communicated with people across the Country as needed to complete our projects.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I have had both Covid shots and continue to wear a mask and follow social distancing as required.
