Laurie D has been playing the guitar for over 55 years and singing even longer. She knows how to be background yet create a nice ambiance. But she also knows when to be more upbeat and has been known to get folks dancing even as a solo. She has three albums out and a repertoire from folk, rock, country, blues and jazz.

What do you love most about your job?
Making people happy! I love traveling to different places and love meeting new people. I also love that most the time, a meal is included and I have many occasions to eat absolutely delicious cuisine.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I just love music! I like the freedom of being self-employed. The music business is very challenging and most the time I love the challenges.

Music for Seniors
Prior to COVID my day job for 30 years was entertaining seniors! I had 170 facilities in my data base. I still work with some of those. I LOVE entertaining seniors! I am happiest when making others happy with my music!
I have a theme each month. January I dress and sing Western in honor of the Stock Show, February is Romantic jazz and other genres for Valentines Day, March and April my spring time show May start my summer show.
I'm a lot of fun and know how to engage with the audience with trivia and other interactions!
Music for Art Events
Some of my favorite gigs are art events as I love to see the creative art and meet the creative artists! I have provided music for many art events over the years; BCAA Art on the Walls, St Thomas Art Gallery, NCAR, NOBO First Fridays Artwalk, Longmont and Niwot Art Walks and many private artists receptions.
I play guitar and sing and cover many genres including folk, blues and jazz. I know how to be background yet create a nice ambiance or know when to engage more with the audience. I have three albums out and include originals and covers when I play such as James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, John Denver, CSNY, Linda Ronstadt. just to name a few and a lot of romantic jazz standards and some Bossa Nova.
