Thirty-some years ago, Jackson was dubbed the Stand-Up Chameleon. That is apt and helps him not get pigeon-holed as a musician, storyteller, comedian, or movement artist. He is all of those in his highly visual, energetic and interactive shows.

Jackson was great with communication. His show was quite entertaining presenting coastal/seaside themed stories that kept my group of seniors entertained and thrilled to join in at specified times. Loved his down to earth friendly demeanor. More...

Jackson Gilman completely entertained 30+ of our 4 and 5 year olds ( and the staff) for a full hour. He was engaging, interactive, funny and very entertaining. We would highly recommend his program and are already planning on his return! More...

Jackson has been most accommodating as we hired him for our September luncheon. As of yet, I cannot comment on his show, but will do so in late September.
What do you love most about your job?
I love getting a group of people to relax, bond, laugh, think and have fun. I like to learn about the sponsor's interests and the audience composition so I can best customize my repertoire for the event.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Early in my career, I much enjoyed being part of a cabaret troupe for several years. The solo slots that I was given became so popular that I decided to go off on my own and have had a solo career for over three decades.
Why should our clients choose you?
Over the decades that I've been performing, I've put together scores of different shows. Pick a season or theme, and I likely have a program to fit the bill. If I don't, I'll be up front and steer you to a more appropriate colleague. Perhaps my best sales pitch is that the majority of my work comes from people who keep rehiring me. Sponsors do so because they know I consistently appeal to their audiences, am very reliable and easy to work with.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I performed online throughout the pandemic and continue to do so periodically. So, performing remotely remains an option.
Participatory song/comedy/story for all - customized for any age group
My web site has descriptions and references for dozens of different shows, with references. Some are for seasonal celebrations, some are nature-oriented, and all are highly visual, energetic and interactive. For birthdays, I like to learn a bit about the birthday person's interests. That way I could better customize a show which would include comedy, some funny sing-alongs, dance-alongs, and perhaps some instrumentation, puppets and stories. I can adjust repertoire for any range of ages, and particularly enjoy intergenerational groups.
