Vanessa is an amazing coach and trainer. She’s extremely knowledgeable and is able to adapt exercises to any needs and goals. I have an old residual injury that gives me some mobility limitations, and Vanessa has been able to work with and around my limitations to make sure I’m experiencing a full range of work throughout my whole body. She is so good at noticing and adjusting my form, as well as personalizing it to fit my injury’s specific constraints and she consistently checks in to assure I’m feeling things where I should be. I've seen Vanessa for massage several times and she is very good at it. She's able to find problem areas, that I didn't even know were problem areas, and treat them properly. I have been working with Vanessa for 2.5 years now and I can’t say enough good things about her. When I first began working with her, I had very debilitating back and hip injuries. Vanessa is a wonderful online trainer. I did virtual and online training with her. She was always prepared for the session and kept it fun and exciting. I didn't feel comfortable being out because of COVID but Vanessa wanted to make sure I was reaching my goals. Before working with Vanessa I worked with another trainer at Sport and Health. The trainer had focused a lot on my strengths and not as much on my goals. I saw improvements in my body, but not in the areas I was really excited to see improvements in.

Since I’ve been working with Vanessa, I have seen many results in the areas I was looking to see improvements in. I am involved in both partner training and one on one training. Since working with Vanessa, I've lost about 20 pounds total and have never felt so strong. Vanessa has focused on the areas that I really wanted to see improvements in and even more. I don't think I would have ever been able to recreate these results without the personalized attention.

I have been a member of Sports & Health for many years. My activity there was use the pool, elliptical, crunches and Row machine; Those are the only places I felt comfortable.
Three years ago I was having pain on my left hip. It was a really bad pain for two years, I was no able to walk properly because of it and the cartilage on the joint deteriorated.
Finally, I had total left hip replacement. After the surgery I was out for three months in PT, which helped me tremendously to learn to walk again.
When I finish my PT I was still having issues just to walk properly to the point where I tripped and fell multiple times. For four months I did nothing to help get better, my PT Mathew suggested to continue exercising with a trainer since I am member of the gym.
I started training with Vanessa, she started focusing on my hip muscles getting them strong, my life has changed since we started my training, I am getting stronger day by day.
I am able to do all kinds of exercises I never thought I could do. She helped me tremendously with my walking, my balance, and with my posture. I have lost three sizes clothing and my big abdomen it is getting smaller.
My body has changed drastically. I have more confidence, I am not scared of the machines, and I am more comfortable in the gym. I am 68 years old and I can do things that other people younger than me can't.
My brain works better; I have more energy.
Vanessa is an excellent human being, very professional, courteous, knowledgeable on her Physical education, I will recommend her to my friends.
I am very thankful to have met Vanessa because she changed my life for better, changed my body and continue teaching me how much I can do if I put my mind to.

Before I began working with my trainer Vanessa, I was under the silly impression that weight lifting and gym equipment were mostly for guys. I primarily stuck to cardio workouts like Zumba, hiking, and running to help me lose weight, and struggled with it for a long time. Vanessa helped me learn how to feel comfortable using the equipment at the gym, and how to target my specific goals. As an even bigger surprise to me, I found that eventually I even started enjoying working out. In my little over 2 months working with Vanessa I've lost almost 20lbs and have never felt stronger.

Recently I even started adding back in my cardio exercises in addition to our sessions, and now find I enjoy them more than ever! I've gone on a 2 mile run and 7-mile hike for fun, just because my body can handle it. I haven't felt or looked this great in years, and for the first time I believe I can actually get to my desired fitness level. Thanks Vanessa, it's looking like signing up for personal training may go down as one of the best decisions I ever made!

Every session with Vanessa is fun and challenging. She is always pushing her clients to make sure that they progress, while introducing new exercises to keep things exciting. She is a very knowledgable trainer with numerous certifications, a degree, and extensive experience in corrective exercise in a clinical setting. I take a wholistic approach focusing on warm ups, strength training, cardio training, flexibility, recovery therapy, nutrition, and sleep in order to help my clients achieve their goals. We go over each area and which areas are lacking and needing extra focus.

Yes, I offer both virtual training and online training. So whether you just need a workout plan to follow that's tailored to your needs and goals, or if you want someone there to motivate you through a tailored workout, I got you! I also offer virtual stretch/yoga classes as well.

I have maintained my vaccination status. If the client prefers I wear a mask, I do make sure to wear it. I allow my clients the choice to wear if they feel comfortable.

Only at gym, i do not do mobile massage. I focus a lot on muscular imbalances and reducing pain/injuries and preventing pain/injuries! The massage techniques I use include manual massage, cupping, scraping, and more! I don’t per se focus on full body massage, but more specific and focused!
