You get what you pay for and these guys deliver, big time. First, they come to you. Does it get any better? I choose a local park down there street. Second, they tailor your sessions to what your goals are. Do you want to focus more on the fitness aspect? No problem. You want to focus more on the fighting aspect, no problem. My family has been training with Simon now for over 4 months and it has been 5 stars all the way. Simon is really great with my 11 year old as well as really honing in the fighting techniques to maximize your potential for impact and strength. He has taught my husband and I how to hold mitts for each other with safety and skill in mind. We love Simon's teaching techniques and how he motivates our son to focus. Simon is a very skillful fighter and is really good at educating you on the "why" behind every movement. John is our manager and he kicks our butts on circuit training. He is very knowledgeable and gave me pointers on how not to aggravate my sciatica during training. He also educated my husband and I on stretches for our lower backs and hamstrings. At first, I was not in the best shape, and had little experience with boxing/mauy thai. Simon is great! He worked with me 1-3 times per week. He made sure my technique was correct and worked on improvement every session. After a couple months, I noticed that my clothes were fitting better, and I could feel myself getting stronger. Four months ago I began searching for personal training that would include self-defense techniques. I trained with a boxer MANY years ago and loved it so I knew it would be the kind of workout I would enjoy and stick with. After reading all of FightFit's glowing Yelp reviews I reached out to Matt, who did an initial skills assessment (which totally kicked my butt!) and paired me with Simon for training. Simon has been an excellent coach. He's patient, skilled, knowledgeable, encouraging and motivating. Each workout has been customized to slowly build upon my strengths and push me beyond my comfort zone. The workouts are also varied which makes it really fun and keeps me on my toes. Simon takes the time to answer my questions and educate me on why I'm doing the movements I'm doing, which gives me confidence in my ability to protect myself if I'm ever caught in a bad situation. What inspired you to start your own business?
Beginning personal training in 2008, I developed developed extensive experience with a wide range of body types, skill levels and goals and are accommodating and flexible with our training regimens. Private Training: 1-on-1 / small group
Punch, kick, knee and elbow your way through our fun, challenging and educational sessions. We build the curriculum around you and your goals, and move at your speed. Your intro session with Matt will introduce you to wrapping your hands and a functional warm up, then take you through a variety of pad work and glove work drills, and finally finish strong with some creative body weight conditioning. From there, your training schedule is set to whatever is most convenient to you, and will always remain flexible. Matt and the team will continue building on your knowledge and helping you to excel.
