What do you love most about your job?
Through the years I was able to combine what I was very good at with industries I love. Live entertainment and travel as an accountant afforded me great opportunities to grow in my profession. Now I am happiest when I am providing much needed accurate financials to my clients, the business owners. I created Elm Street Accounting for business owners who can benefit from my experience. This has been very rewarding.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have had a great professional career with employers. The work I provided was always so appreciated and the feedback has always been positive and complimentary. Additionally, I have traveled all around the country and the world to handle accounting operations. Since it is not possible to travel that extensively anymore I will bring my expertise to clients regardless of where they conduct business! Setting up a virtual business to support clients from anywhere after having been on the remote side of operations gives me a unique perspective on how to connect with my clients so that they feel as though I am not far from them for support.
