Ruben and I contacted Bob, (Dog mentalist) approximately 6 weeks ago. At that time, we had been having major issues with our rescue dog biting my husband. When we described the issue to Bob, he knew right away what we needed to do. He gave us quite a bit of homework of which we did, i.e.: start working with Shaggy doing puppy push-ups, recommending we read Inside of a Dog and How Dogs Think. We communicated with Bob once a week to give him our progress and updates, throughout the week we would send him videos of our interaction with Shaggy. By the second week of training Shaggy, he mastered the puppy push-ups. YAY! Once we got through that, now Bob recommended interactive treat puzzles of which we bought and slowly but surely Shaggy progressed from beginning level to Advanced level with the following three weeks. During these three weeks Bob also highly recommended that we play ball with Shaggy and most importantly to get a DNA test to see if he was indeed what we thought he was. By week five we got the results back and indeed he was 100% pure bread, of which that explained a lot of his traits and quirks. We contacted Bob and mentioned that we were having an issue with Shaggy walking on a leash without trying to attack every dog he encountered. Once again Bob came through and suggested that we distract him, move him form the incoming dogs and praise and reward him for not barking. Voila, it worked:) Today I am so happy to say that Shaggy has no longer bitten, has learned how to not bark and how to walk on a leash. Most importantly he has turned into a great dog because of Bob's help and recommendations.

Working with Bob was amazing! My dog had separation anxiety and destroying things in my house, had him on CBD and meds.. with my first 2 sessions I noticed a change right away. He was able to get my baby off meds completely. Being able to give my dog relief and better understand queues has been less stressful for all of us in the house. We contacted Bob to assist us with our aggressive German Sheperd Willow. She was pulling and acting aggressive to most dogs while walking. He recommended an Easy Walker harness and almost immediately her behavior improved on a walk. He made several other great suggestions on how to get better behavior out of her through positive training! We highly recommend him and will work with him again should be he need arise! More...

After a bit of research in looking for a trainer that uses positive reinforcement for training, Bob was our guy. We had never had a young dog in the past and after adapting Cooper from a shelter we needed some help. Bob was able to get us to a great start with all the basics we needed, from sit, down, crate, and not pulling while walking. We were very satisfied with our results in a short period of time. I was looking for someone to tell me exactly what to do and when to do it when training my pup to do anything. Bob is absolutely amazing! I love his approach with positive reinforcement.
My rescue had a rough life before he blessed my life. Working with Bob we strengthened our bond and trust quickly. My furbaby went from eating my car during car rides, anxious, jumpy and fearful to a happy, well behaved, PLAYFUL and loving dog.
Humans learn best from positive reinforcement and so do dogs. I received training that I will use for a lifetime with future rescues.

Bob was absolutely great ! After the first session we noticed a difference in our dog , he trained us humans right along with the dog . It was a pleasure working with Bob. After the very 1st session, I knew it was worth it. Bob really is training the humans. Once you understand that, it's much easier working with your dogs. Bob makes it fun and easy to follow. As long as you are willing to follow his instructions and do the homework he gives you, you'll have results. It was night and day with our dogs from 1st n last session. I'm glad we chose the max sessions also. I originally thought we don't need much training and don't have to do the max Sessions, but we did. As I said before, it was worth it after the 1st session. All on Zoom too. He knows his stuff well. He reached out to get the ball rolling right away and was eager to help with training our dog. He was a bit scattered and had trouble remembering when we were scheduled on multiple occasions, but did try to work with our schedule. The online format was a nice way to do training during this time, but also made it a little less "real life" as there were not the same behavior issues displayed at home as they are around others outside of home. I've actually enjoyed working with Bob. I've made his heart over flow with joy when I actually "decided to keep the stray" and kept him on his toes when I put my foot down, when I said new adopted dog wasn't staying in my house ha! My husband & I adopted our dog 6 months ago & were adamant about getting her trained. Regular trainers at Petco were telling me they’d focus on discipline & obedience, but our dog wasn’t necessarily bad, we just wanted to understand why certain behaviors were happening. Bob's love and respect for dogs is clear from the get go. He works with all dogs, specializing in shelter dog rehabilitation and he works to train the owner to produce positive results for a happier life with your pup. We had 5 zoom sessions with our new adopted shelter dog, and while she needs a lot more work, we were able to have a few breakthroughs. He gives you tough love and only wants the best for your pet.

Bob Kessler is an amazing man and dog trainer. His love for dogs and his passion for positive reinforcement training is matched only by his love for his wife, family, and passion for dancing. Everything he does is fueled by love, even when he gets tough and serious. This just goes to show how much he loves you and your dog. Don’t get me wrong, Bob is never stern with your dog, heck, your dog won’t hear him say “no”! He wants to fill your dog’s whole world with love- his love and [most importantly] your love! Mr. Kessler is not coming into your home and training your dog for you. He is training YOU how to train your dog. Now, I mean, this approach WORKS. Trust me! I have a very energetic 10 month old Pomsky (a pomeranian and husky mixed breed) who had two homes and absolutely zero training before she was 3 months old, when she landed in our lap and we adopted her. Two weeks with Bob and she is now well mannered, happier, healthier, gentler, calmer, and more playful. This approach only worked when we learned how to calm down, have fun, listen to everything he was saying, and practice, practice, practice! If you want a trainer who will help give you the tools to understand your dog’s language and teach it with all the love in your hearts, Bob’s your guy. He is love. All we can say is WOW. Bob came to our house last week for the first time and met with our year and a half old American bullies. Today was there second session, and we can already see the difference in our dogs. He takes his time to explain everything he will be doing, and is very patient. He literally had our dog under control within a few minutes. We will continue to have him, and highly reccomend. He is Amamzing!!! We definitely have happy pups which equals happy parents. More...

This was a 135 pound Bully breed dog that was powerful and smart. Fun to train with the owner.
