What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
A good DJ knows that he must evaluate and determine what format of music would greatly satisfy his targeted audience. Knowing what to play when to play it and how to mix it is very important. Also knowing what say and when to say it is important. Generally speaking the key is know what works and what doesn't for right age group or combination of diverse cultures. I take an enormous of pride in knowing different varieties of music that work well for different types of nationalities.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I normally cater my style to meet the requirements for the occasion for which it calls for. It determines what music I play and how I intend to reach my intended audience. Sometimes a mix or a blend of different genre's is what is called for and other times I stick to a particular format. I strive to be a dj that can be versatile, that can play any type of popular music, for anyone or age group if choose to do so.
What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing people having a good time , enjoying themselves, smiling laughing and dancing their butt off because the music is so enjoyable they can't get off the dance floor. That gives me such satisfaction to know that I'm doing a fabulous job. I love music all types. I love what I do and I take a lot of pride in doing it well.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Growing up as the youngest of fourteen children allowed me to have a vast knowledge of music that extends from the early 60's, 70’s, 80's ,90's, 2000's to the present day.
I'm very versatile and able to play for any age group, but my specialty is catering to the mature, established audience who enjoy a blast from the past, keeping it clean, if you know what I mean.
All my life I always believed that I meant to be a Dj. I think it so cool and fun to play music, to MC and to make so many people happy.
