Usually when I work with a new practitioner, it takes many sessions and sometimes months for them to get to know me and then be able to really start helping. It was not this way with Diane. Individual parents who are raising children and working full-time to support their families are real heroes. It's often the overwhelm of so much responsibility that is a challenge. Initially, I wanted to work on my relationship with my daughter. So I have asked her to help me to write a letter and open the door for a conversation with my daughter. The difficulties in our relationship caused us not to talk or see each other for two years. I am 63 years old retired RN with some background education in psychology.
