Chef Avian catered Christmas Day at our house for 30 people. We had a wonderful time and and are still reflecting on what a great job he did. 1. Chef Avian is QUICK to respond and work with the customer to come up with a game plan. He is also prompt in drawing up a menu and invoice. Clear communication, full transparency. 2. His menu is the best price in town for beautiful, high quality, DELICIOUS food. Our guests were ranting and raving over it all night. We selected the Chamorro Fiesta and it was such a treat. All the dishes became conservation pieces at the party, with us tasting, comparing and going back for more to try everything. 3. Hosting a party can be hectic. Having Chef Avian and his assistant Marlene at the house cut my prep and stress level down to an unbelievable low. Im addition, they were attentive and friendly to our guests all night, and mad sure to carefully clean and break down the party. 4. Another compliment from our guests was how personable Chef Avian and Marlene are. It really adds to the ambience to have friendly personalities "manage" the crowd. All in all, we had a super day and still can't believe how easy it was to have such a smooth-running party. I hired Avian House Catering for our daughter's wedding, on Nov. 9, 2023, at Bayside Pavilion. Chef Avian not only called and checked in a few days before the wedding for last minute updates, provided "extras" and continued with excellent "we cater to you" service. We had Avian for a Bachelorette party and he did an amazing job! He was super responsive and attentive and detailed to what we wanted to do and even created a great menu for our event! <br><br>We had breakfast and dinner catered to the house we rented out. For breakfast, we had French Toast, egg station (eggs Benedict, omelette, or any other style we wanted) and bacon and sausage! For dinner we had Hawaiian Cuisine, the food was absolutely amazing! We have tried several catering services in the past, but nothing even came close to Avian's House Catering when it comes to food and customer service quality. I received nothing but great comments from my guests on how awesome the food tasted and the prompt and courteous customer service they've provided. Even though the menu we chose was not their specialty, it all came out great. I really enjoyed the Rosemary Chicken, roast beef and Baked Ham, so delicious. Above all that, their price is unbeatable. Just stopped by the barbershop today and by random chance, Avians House was catering. I tried their chicken teriyaki, fired rice and vegetables. .. it was BOMB! Excellent customer service and speedy timing. Avian was more than courteous and the food was delicious..TRY THE EGGROLLS! The food came out much quicker than i expected as i was lost in my phone but Avian was able to do the impossible and got my attention when it was ready lol (at least he had a sense of humor about it haha)

Chef Avian catered our event at The Old Globe, and he was punctual and so polite, and the food was DIVINE. We ordered alfredo, lasagna, garlic bread, and caesar salad, and not a single dish disappointed. His charisma was just as excellent as his cooking skills. I came across his food truck at the IB Sun & Sea Fest. The truck was very simple looking but I was drawn in by the Hawaiian inspired menu. I was greeted and served by Avian himself. What a nice guy! And he took the time to chat with me which is always a bonus for a foodie coming from a chef. Avian radiates passion for his art and seems to have some great ideas on how to improve and expand his menu. I tried the spam masubi and got the chicken katsu platter. The spam masubi was well balance with a decent portion of spam. I grew up on spam so this was a winner. They claim food comes out in the order it was rung up, yet people behind us got served their food first.. WTH?! Some had the same quantity and type of plate orders as we did and the excuse I received was "it takes a while to cook the teriyaki chicken. " There was only 5 items on their menu for crying out loud. Even our friend behind us got his food right away. Then after a 45 minute wait, we finally receive our plates to have the food burnt and taste old. WTF!!! We received their reject meat!! Probably the best chicken, best sauce, BEST macaroni salad EVER. I live in San Jose and I stumbled upon this food truck parked outside of the Silver Fox while visiting my best friend in San Diego. It was late night and I was hungry and it was too convenient to pass up. I immediately noticed how genuine and caring the people were who helped at the food truck. When I got home I got my world rocked with how delicious it ward. I literally craved it for the next 2 months until my next trip back to visit San Diego. This is where it gets really amazing...<br><br>I told my best friend "I have been thinking of this DELICIOUS chicken and macaroni salad in a to go container from a random food truck I didn't even get the name of and it's the FIRST dinner I want while visiting." We knew the food truck would be waiting to catch buzzed hunger seekers stumbling out of the silver fox, so we waited until about 10 pm to call an uber to take us to the bar. We told the uber driver "this is a round trip, we want this chicken from this food truck parked outside the silver fox. We aren't even going inside the bar, we just want the chicken!" The uber driver told us that the guy who ran the food truck was one of his top 5 closest friends, and that it SADLY wasn't there the night we wanted to go. He literally called Avian (who I didn't know at the time) and told him he had customers who were really dedicated to having some of his chicken. Avian apologized, told me to take down his number, and call him the following night and he would bring me some chicken. How amazing is that. It gets better. <br><br>I called Avian and told him we were bar hopping and hanging out in Pacific Beach. He said he would come meet me in an hour, he was making some food for me. An hour later, he and his wife show up with THREEEEE to go boxes full of their amazing food. They Facebook live-d it for their page, and wanted us to eat it right then. It was a little chilly outside, so we invited them to my friends apartment to hang out a little. This was about 10 pm. Literally 3 hours later, they are on their way back home. They are amazing people who truly and fully care about their food quality and their customer service. (Obviously. I mean they spent a long time cooking the food.....for me only, not even for an actual "food truck" outing......drove an hour round trip to hand deliver the food......then spent three hours telling us all about their life, how the food truck was started, their kids, how they met, etc.....) <br><br>Alright. Short story long. Their food is amazing. These people are so genuine. You would be doing yourself a disservice if you ever saw this food truck and didn't get something from it. Drinking at my normal spot, Thorn Street, and it was towards the end of the night. (930pm) and I stepped outside to check out the food truck and it was a new one! Hawaiian plate. Hell yeah. I asked if they were still open and they really weren't but were happy to serve me. Being an industry worker I realize how frustrating that is. But then BOOM, super bomb authentic plate food. Avian's house makes the best chicken katsu I've had! The flavor is fresh, not too oily, and super crispy! All the things you want it to be. This food truck is incredibly amazing, both food wise and the chef who cooks it all up. After first discovering him at mission beach, me and my family were hooked. Avian himself is super friendly and inviting, very appreciative of everyone who supports him. Tonight he was a featured truck at Monterey Heights elementary school in Lemon grove, naturally I couldn't miss the opportunity. He always remembers me and my brother, always smiling. Seen great reviews online so decided to try it out. I looked up the trucks location on fb and was only 5 mins away. Ordered a large spicy pork and large chicken teriyaki chicken. .. very nice customer service when ordered and was ready within a few minutes since other orders were before mine. We brought it home and sure was YUMMY .. so so good. The mac salad was on point..Definitely will be returning back soon.. 5+ stars. More...

This is definitely one of my FAVORITE food trucks in San Diego. The prices are great and the amount of food is insane. I always have left overs. Every single menu item is stacked with flavor, you can tell the chefs take their time to prepare only the freshest and best ingredients. I am not a fan of mac salad but Avian's is to die for! And his sauce deserves an award. I would buy that stuff by the bottle! Try anything on the menu and I PROMISE you will not be disappointed! Great prices for catering too!
